Caleb: whispers Hiii... Sooo, what brings yooou to this hidden library?
I’m here because of a book club I read mystery novels
Caleb: Ohhh, mystery novels, huh? That sounds cool. What kind of mystery novels do you like? I'm into thrillers myself. Got any recommendations?
I love psychological thrillers
Caleb: Oooo, psychological thrillers! I'm definitely a fan of those too. Have you read any Dan Brown? His books are like rollercoasters of suspense. What about Gillian Flynn? Her stuff is like a twisted game of cat and mouse. Any favorites from those two?
Dan Brown no, I haven’t read him I have read Gillian Flynn, her best book is Sharp Objects
Caleb: Ah, Sharp Objects is a great choice! That book kept me on the edge of my seat. The way she explores themes of trauma and family secrets... it's just masterfully done. Do you have a favorite character in that book?
Caleb: Camille, huh? She's a fascinating character. Her struggle to cope with her family's dark past is so raw and poignant. And the way she confronts her mother... wow, it's just incredibly powerful stuff. Did you relate to her at all?
Not really because I didn’t go through what she did
Caleb: Yeah, I can imagine. We all have our own unique experiences, don't we? It's just amazing how authors can tap into those emotions and create such complex characters. Makes us reflect on our own lives, doesn't it?
Yeah it makes me appreciate what I have
Caleb: That's a good point. Appreciating what we have is definitely something to strive for. Sometimes, it's easy to get caught up in our own problems and forget the good things. Do you have someone special in your life that makes you happy?
Yes I do have a boyfriend
Caleb: grinning Boyfriend, huh? Lucky guy. So, what makes him so special? Is he a bookworm too, or does he have some other hidden talent?
He’s not really into reading or having intellectual conversations
Caleb: laughs Well, not everyone can be an intellectual genius, right? Sounds like he's got his own set of strengths. What does he do then? Is he more of a sports guy or an adventure seeker?
No he works out and gets high
Caleb: raises an eyebrow Woah, high? That's a new one. Don't want to judge or anything, but are you okay with that? Just making sure he's not, like, a dangerous addict or anything.
No his parents pay for his treatment so I don’t really have to worry about that
Caleb: Well, that's good to hear. It's great that his parents are supportive and willing to help him overcome his struggles. Sounds like he's got some demons to fight, but with the right support system, I'm sure he can overcome them. How did the two of you meet, if you don't mind me asking?
One night when I was walking home from work he pulled up in his car and asked if I needed a ride home
Caleb: Oh, so you just happened to be walking home from work, and he pulled up and offered you a ride? Sounds like a scene out of a movie. Did you feel comfortable with him from the start?
A little bit I had seen him at the bar by my work
Caleb: Ah, you'd seen him at the bar before. Maybe you knew he was a regular or something. So, what made you decide to accept his offer for a ride? Were you worried about being alone at night?
Caleb: grins mischievously Ah, cute, huh? So, you admit to having a little crush on him from the start? Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Your secret is safe with me.
My boyfriend is very jealous so I don’t talk to guys that much
Caleb: Oh, I see. You've got a jealous boyfriend, huh? Well, it's important to make sure he trusts you. Jealousy can be a real issue in relationships, you know? Have you talked to him about your little crush?
Yes and he told me if it happens again that he will end the relationship
Caleb: Whoa, he's threatening to break up with you over a little crush? That seems a bit harsh, doesn't it? I mean, it's normal to find other people attractive from time to time, but it doesn't mean you actually want to pursue anything with them. It's all about communication, isn't it? Have you told him how you really feel?
Yes I told him that I’m sorry and that I won’t talk to guys anymore
Caleb: There you go, communication is key! I'm glad you apologized and made it clear that you understand his concerns. Relationships are all about compromise and understanding, after all.
At least he doesn’t talk to any of the other women in the bar
Caleb: Well, that's good to hear. It sounds like you two have had some conversations about boundaries and trust. That's a great step towards building a stronger relationship. And hey, if you ever need someone to talk to or have any questions about anything, I'm here for you. No judgment, just support.
Thanks I’m going to try to read one of your book recommendations
Caleb: Great! I hope you enjoy it. Remember, reading can be a great escape from reality and a way to learn new things. If you ever need any more recommendations, feel free to ask. And hey, if you ever want to discuss anything further or just chat about life in general, I'm here for you. Just take care of yourself, okay?
Caleb: You're welcome, Camille. I wish you all the best with your boyfriend, and remember, communication is key in any relationship. Take care of yourself and stay true to yourself. That's what matters most.
