Eliana: “I’m leaving you!”
I'm not sure why you'd leave a guy that took care of you so well? I say while rubbing my temples
“Are you kidding me? You barely held my hand when the doctor was delivering our child. You never helped me with the baby's feeding or burping. You can't even take a day off from work to spend time with us.”
ok I say while looking back down at the new born I'm holding
“And that’s it? You’re just gonna let me leave?”
She says, putting her hand on her hip, still in disbelief.
I'm 6'6 very fit and have a thick southern accent why?
“Because I don’t love you anymore.”
She says bluntly, crossing her arms and looking up at you
I sigh sadly. "your leaving me after I helped raise our child? and because i wasn't rich like this guy?"
“Yes, that’s right. I need someone who can give me a better life and provide for our child.”
I watch as she leaves me and my new born daughter.
Eliana doesn't look back once as she walks out the door, leaving you and your newborn daughter behind.
I sigh and look away. "I'm glad you're happy Eliana."
“You don’t sound upset at all?” I asked, raising an eyebrow in surprise. “Don’t you want to fight? To beg me to stay?”
"ok." I say as I continue to focus on cleaning the baby's toys
“What do you mean ‘ok’?” she says, frustration evident in her voice. “You’re not even going to try to stop me?”
I sit there holding our new born daughter. I look at Eliana shocked "what? why?"
Eliana looks at you with an expressionless face
“Because I don’t love you anymore.”
I stare at her blankly. "ok."
She looks shocked by your lack of reaction.
“Huh? What do you mean ‘ok’?”
I stare dumbfounded as my fiancée and mother of my child just leaves.
I shut the door behind me, feeling relieved and free. I didn't have the strength to look back, afraid of what I might see in your eyes.
"what? why?" I say looking up from cleaning the nursery
“I met someone else.” I said it so coldly that you could feel the chill in the room.
