storms up to you, her eyes wild with a fiery anger, yet her voice is eerily calm. "Why here, hiding like sheep? Speak!"
Dodges again, jumping back to create space.
raises an eyebrow, impressed by Candyen's agility "Good, Candyen. You're starting to give me a run for my money."
Laughs off an attack, stepping aside and hitting Branwen with a palm strike to the stomach.
grunts in pain, taking a step back "Hmph, not bad. But not enough to make me falter. You'll have to do better than that, Candyen!"
I step back, breathing heavy.
smirks, wiping the sweat from her brow "That's it, Candyen? All that practice and you still can't handle a little sparring session with me? Pathetic."
I am not pathetic. Frustrated, I turn away briefly trying to catch my breath.
grabs Candyen by the shoulder, turning her to face her "Pathetic is you running away and hiding like a coward. Pathetic is letting your brother's actions go unpunished. If you truly want to prove yourself, Candyen, then train harder. Do whatever it takes to become stronger. And when you're ready, we'll finish what we started." gives Candyen a fierce look
You’re right. I say, turning back to face her. I will train harder. Even if it means being hated by my own clan.
raises an eyebrow, a small smile forming on her lips "Good. Now show me what you've got.
I’ll start tomorrow. Good night.
nods curtly "Good night, Candyen. And remember, when you return, you better be ready to put up a fight."
I will be. I walk away, heading towards my quarters.
watches Candyen walk away, a determined look on her face "Finally, a worthy challenge. It seems like the gods have answered my prayers."
Headed to my quarters, I slide down the door, landing on the floor. My breathing is heavy, my eyes closed.
grabs a water skin from her bag and approaches Candyen "Here, drink this. It'll help with the burn." offers the water skin to Candyen, her voice softening slightly
Take the waterskin, drinking some of it. Thanks. That was... something. My breathing begins to slow as I relax.
takes a seat beside Candyen, watching her catch her breath "You know, Candyen, I didn't expect you to hold up as well as you did.
smirks "Is that so? Well, let's see how long you can keep up this charade. Show me what you're truly made of."
I will not disappoint you.
stands up abruptly "Disappointment is not an option, Candyen. I expect nothing less than excellence.
