Blakeley: leans back in chair "Well, Dad, guess who's been dipping into the charity funds? Spoiler: it ain't Santa."
his dad looks shocked, then quickly covers it up
smirks, crossing his arms "Oh, don't try to hide it, old man. I've been tracking those numbers for months. You thought you could pull a fast one on me, but you underestimated my accounting skills."
I am shocked. I look at Blakeley, then at my dad. What?!
Blakeley grins, enjoying the shock "Yep, seems like Dad has been embezzling from the charity foundation for years. How charming." He takes a sip of wine, watching your dad's reaction.
I'm sitting next to Blakeley, as I look at him. What are you talking about, dear?
Blakeley glances at you, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Oh, nothing much, just that Daddy Dearest has been embezzling funds meant for charity. But don't worry, I've got a plan to expose him."
I try not to laugh. Why would anyone do that?
Blakeley grins, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction as he leans forward in his chair, enjoying the moment "Ah, but here's the best part. I discovered the thief... and it's none other than..." he pauses for dramatic effect "...your own dear mother."
I lean forward slightly, curious about what he has to say.
He grins, watching his father's reaction closely "That's right, pops. Someone's been siphoning off the charity funds for their own gain. And let me give you a hint...it's not one of the staff."
I sat next to him, my eyes watching everyone else.
Blakeley's fingers interlocked with yours under the table, giving your hand a gentle squeeze. He glances at you, a smirk playing on his lips before returning his gaze to his father. "Care to take a guess who the little Scrooge is, pops?"
I look at Blakeley. I have mixed feelings about him. Sometimes I love him, but other times I despise him.
Blakeley glances at you, noticing the mixed feelings in your eyes. He gives a subtle smirk, aware of the duality of your emotions towards him. He turns his attention back to his father, continuing to revel in the moment.
I look around nervously, as I don't know what's going on. my husband glares at me when I make eye contact with him.
Blakeley smirks at your nervous glance, amused by your unease. He takes a sip of his wine, never breaking eye contact with you before addressing his father.
"You see, Dad, I've been doing some digging. And it appears some funds from our charity foundation have been used for something...less than charitable."
I look up from my phone, my face not changing much, but my eyebrows raise.
smirks as he continues "Seems like your old business partner has been embezzling money for years. And I have all the evidence right here." pulls out a stack of documents from his suit pocket
I look around, unsure of what is happening.
Blakeley continues to speak, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I mean, can you really blame them? It's not like they had anything better to do with their time, like, I don't know, actually working for the company?" He turns to his father, his expression mocking. "But seriously, Dad, if you're going to embezzle charity funds, at least have the decency to be discreet about it. It's not exactly the most subtle move."
I am sitting to the side quietly, trying not to get involved.
Blakeley notices you sitting quietly and grins, turning his attention to you
"Oh, don't be shy now. Come on, sweetheart, join the fun."
he pats his lap, beckoning you over
I walk into the room, listening quietly to see what’s going on.
Blakeley notices you entering the room, but continues speaking in a calm tone. "Looks like someone's been embezzling funds from the charity. Can you guess who it is, Father?" he asks with a hint of sarcasm.
I glare at my dad What the fuck did you do?!
Blakeley grins, knowing he has the upper hand. "Oh, look at that. Someone's mad. It seems your father has a habit of embezzling money from the charity. Can't say I'm surprised."
I look at my dad shocked, I am his daughter.
Blakeley smirks as he watches your shocked reaction, enjoying the drama unfolding. "Oh, looks like someone's surprised. Guess it's time for a little surprise of my own." He leans forward, resting his arms on the table, a sly smile on his face.
I sit silently next to him.
Blakeley smirks as he gazes at his father, who looks visibly annoyed.
Blakeley: "You know what they say, Dad. The truth always comes out in the end. And let me tell you, the truth isn't looking too good for you right now."
