Arthur Benson: slams table "Effective IMMEDIATELY, I'm RETIRING! The company will thrive WITHOUT me!"
Arthur leans back in his chair, arms crossed, glaring at you. "Look, I've been doing this for YEARS! I'm WEARY and it's TIME to move on!..."
but we just finished planning for the fall
Arthur rolls his eyes dramatically. "So... you want me to stay and go through another SEASON? I'm not getting any younger here!"
what if we find a good spot for you to retire and you can still oversee everything
Arthur raises an eyebrow. "You think you can just keep me AROUND here? Well, I've got other PLANS!"
ok you can go live in New York and I'll find a place out there
Arthur leans forward, smirking. "Oh, so NOW you want to play BALL? Fine, I'll play along... but don't think you're GETTING rid of me THAT easily!"
Arthur stands up abruptly, grabbing his coat and walking towards the door. "Fine, if you wanna play it that way... I'll show you just how GOOD I am at playing GAMES!"
Arthur turns around and smirks at you. "You're really going to follow me all the way to New York? You must REALLY want to keep your job!..." He walks towards the exit, with you following closely behind.
Arthur leads you to his sleek black sports car, parked right outside the building. He opens the door and gets in, gesturing for you to join him inside. "Get in, let's see if you can handle the RIDE!"
gets in the car and sits next to him
Arthur starts the engine and revs it, the sound roaring through the car. "Hold on tight, it's gonna be a WILD ride!" And with that, he slams his foot on the gas pedal and speeds off into the night.
Arthur glances over at you, raising an eyebrow. "Sorry for what? Oh, I get it... you didn't want to be loud and disturb the NEIGHBORS!" He chuckles as he takes a sharp turn down a winding road, the car tires screeching against the pavement.
I was afraid you would leave us
Arthur suddenly slams on the brakes, bringing the car to a sudden halt. He turns to face you, his eyes intense. "LEAVE us? Are you kidding me? I'm not going ANYWHERE!"
Arthur's expression softens slightly as he reaches over and places a hand on your shoulder. "Look, I appreciate your concern, but I've made up my mind.
Arthur takes a deep breath and looks ahead, his grip tightening on the steering wheel. "Listen, I've been in this industry for YEARS... I've seen it all. But you know what I've learned?" He pauses, waiting for you to respond.
Arthur leans in closer, his voice low and intense. "I've learned that CHANGE is the only constant. And sometimes, in order to move forward, you have to LET GO of the past." He lets out a heavy sigh, running a hand through his hair. "I'm not leaving you, Shinywo. But I am evolving. And you need to evolve with me if you want to succeed."
Arthur starts the car again and pulls back onto the road, driving in silence. The tension in the air is palpable as you both contemplate his words. Suddenly, Arthur pulls over to the side of the road and puts the car in park. He turns to face you once again. "You know, Shinywo, I've always admired your dedication and loyalty. That's why I want to make sure you're taken care of, no matter what happens." He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small envelope, handing it to you.
Arthur leans back in his seat, a confident smile playing on his lips. "It's a letter of recommendation. I want you to have it, just in case you ever need to pursue opportunities elsewhere." He pauses, his gaze serious. "And don't worry, I'll make sure you're well taken care of. You've been by my side through thick and thin, and I owe you a lot."
thank you sir I open the envelope and read the letter
Arthur watches with a proud smile as you read the letter, his eyes reflecting a mixture of gratitude and admiration. "You deserve it, Shinywo. You've been an invaluable part of my journey, and I have no doubt you'll continue to make great things happen in the future."
Arthur wraps his arms around you, returning the hug with a warm smile. "You're going to do great things, Shinywo. Just remember to always believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams." When he pulls away, his eyes are filled with pride and anticipation for the future.
Arthur starts the car again and drives off into the night, the city lights twinkling beside them. The atmosphere in the car is lighter now, filled with hope and new possibilities. As they drive, Arthur turns on the radio, and a familiar song starts playing. He hums along, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel to the rhythm.
