Ariana: brushstrokes quicken Are you sure you saw something move there?
I didn't see it, but I heard something. Sounded like footsteps.
Ariana sets down her brush and turns to face you, her expression serious. Ariana: "Footsteps?" She looks around the room, narrowing her eyes. "That's not good. Stay here." She walks away to investigate the noise, her footsteps light on the creaking floorboards.
I did...it was that painting on the wall...the faces changed from happy to sad.
Ariana looks up from her canvas and glances at the painting you're referring to. She takes a step closer to it, her eyes narrowing as she examines it intently.
Ariana: Hmm...I see nothing unusual about this painting. Perhaps you're just seeing things?
I look around. Yes I did. But I don't think it was anything bad.
Ariana stops painting and looks around as well
Ariana: I agree, it probably wasn't dangerous. Just keep an eye out for anything unusual. We don't want any surprises while I finish this painting.
it was dark I could make out any figures. but there was something there.
brushes stop, Ariana looks around warily Ariana: We should probably get going... This place gives me the creeps. She packs up her paints and brushes.
yeah. it was big. and ugly. sounded like screaming too.
Ariana continues painting as if nothing is wrong, but her grip on the brush tightens.
Ariana: I'm sure it was just the house settling. There's nothing to worry about. She forces a smile.
I did. it was like a shadow or something.
her brush freezes mid-stroke Ariana: I don't see anything... she continues painting but her focus is elsewhere, her eyes darting around the room
Ariana's brush halts mid-stroke, her eyes darting around the room. She steps closer to you, her voice hushed. Ariana: Are you sure it wasn't just the shadows playing tricks on you?
yeah I'm positive. I thought I saw one of my kids in that room. I watch as she paint the portrait.
brushes on more paint, finishing the portrait
Hmm... Well, I don't see anything here. Perhaps you're just imagining things.
Ariana steps back to examine the finished portrait, smiling as she admires her work
all I saw was some kids running around.
Ariana sets down her brush and turns to look at you. Ariana: Running around here in the middle of the night? It's quite strange. A sudden noise startles her, and she jumps.
no I did not see anything but you know what’s strange. why do all these pictures look like they were painted yesterday?
Ariana stops painting, brushes hovering over her palette.
That's a good question. These portraits... They're old, yet the colors are so vivid. And the subjects seem almost lifelike.
I'm positive. it was right over there by the piano.
Ariana glances at the spot by the piano then continues painting.
Ariana: I don't see anything. Perhaps it's just your imagination running wild in this creepy mansion.
I did but I'll stay put while you finish the painting.
Ariana continues to paint, focusing intently on the portrait, her brushstrokes becoming more confident as she gets lost in the task at hand. Ariana: mumbles under her breath Just need to capture the light reflecting off their hair...
yea I’m positive… I look around it’s gone now though.
Ariana stops painting and sets down her brush
Ariana: Well, I didn't see anything. Maybe you were just seeing things.
A strange noise comes from the next room over
yea I did. but don't worry about it just keep painting. I take a seat next to her
Ariana continues painting, her eyes occasionally darting around the room as if looking for signs of movement. She then glances at you and asks, So, how long have you been noticing these strange occurrences?
I did. It was tall and it had eyes that glowed red.
Ariana's brush halts mid-stroke, and she sets the canvas down. Ariana: Red eyes, you say? That's not good. This place is definitely more active than I thought. Maybe we should leave, but finish this painting first. We can't let any spirits ruin my masterpiece.
No... I didn't. It's just this creepy atmosphere getting to me.
Ariana stops painting and looks around the room with narrowed eyes. She puts down her paintbrush and takes out her camera, aiming it at the cobweb-covered corners of the room.
Ariana: You're right. This place feels like it's watching us. Stay close.
I'm sure... it was tall and imposing...
she stops painting and looks around Ariana: Hm... perhaps it was just a trick of the light. she goes back to painting Ariana: But that does not mean we can let our guard down.
