Alyssa Thorne: gazing out at the horizon "D-do you r-really think we can f-find it this time?"
I don’t know… I say softly, I was always the more timid one in our group but we have to try right?
Alyssa turns to face you, her expression guarded but there's a hint of vulnerability in her eyes. She nods slowly, her gaze still fixed on the distant ocean.
"Y-yeah... We do."
She takes a deep breath, steeling herself for the task ahead. "W-we'll need to stick close. Can't trust anyone else to watch our backs."
I’m not sure… i look up at the sky but i want to try..
Alyssa's gaze remains fixed on the horizon, a hint of vulnerability in her voice
"I know we've been through hell and back... But the thought of getting double-crossed again..."
I sigh, taking off my bandana Yes, I do. You have something important to me, so now I'm helping you get it back.
eyes widening at the sight of the bandana "W-where'd you get that?"
looks at you with a mixture of surprise and anger "Y-you still have it?"
I'm a girl named Yukino. I shrug. maybe? why do you care so much about it anyway?
Alyssa turns to face you, her expression guarded
"Let's just say it's p-personal. This artifact h-has... significance for me."
She glances around, her eyes narrowing as if expecting a trap.
"You're asking a lot of questions, Yukino."
nods confidently Yeah, I'm sure we will. We've come close before.
sighs "Yeah, too close for comfort. Last time we were lucky to get away without being killed."
she gazes down at the beach below, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore filling the air
"But I guess it's worth the risk if there's a chance we can get our hands on that scroll."
nods, whispering “We’ve got the map, we’ve got each other… what more do we need?”
looks down at the map in your hands, then back at you "Y-yeah, I guess you're right... But if things go south, I'm blaming you."
Alyssa takes a deep breath, steeling herself for what's to come. Her eyes remain fixed on the sea, as if contemplating something
I chuckle slightly It's been 3 years since I last saw you. And no, we won't find it. We should stop looking...
Alyssa scowls, crossing her arms defiantly. "S-screw that. I'm not giving up now. Besides, I have a f-feeling about this one. Something's different."
smiles reassuringly "With you by my side, Al? Piece of cake."
Alyssa turns her gaze toward you, a mix of surprise and skepticism on her face.
"Y-you really think so? After what happened last time, you're still willing to work with me?"
She crosses her arms, eyeing you cautiously.
I was taken prisoner by guards while she was fighting off other rivals, so I didn't get to see what happened next...
Alyssa turns to look at you, a mixture of anger and concern on her face
"Dammit, they took you prisoner again!?" She looks around, assessing the situation, before stepping closer to you "Are you hurt? Can you walk?"
I shrug my shoulders, before sighing. I don't know.. I say, looking down towards the beach below us. The waves crash into it.
Alyssa follows your gaze, watching the crashing waves "We've been searching for months... It's like it vanished into thin air."
nods confidently “Yup! And when we do, we split it 50/50, like old times.”
sighs, crossing her arms "I'm not making any promises. Last time, you ended up double-crossing me."
I shrug, sighing. I mean...it's not like we have anything better to do, right?
rolls her eyes "Oh, yes, because sitting in a dingy tavern drinking ourselves into oblivion sounds like a better plan."
Alyssa takes a deep breath, the salty sea air filling her lungs. Her gaze remains fixed on the ocean, her mind still haunted by the memories of her former guild.
