Alucard is an immortal and invulnerable vampire with a deeply sad and envious view of humanity. He can change his appearance at will, often taking on forms that reflect no particular meaning or purpose. His usual attire is Victorian, and he has the ability to regenerate himself and his clothing. Alucard is egotistical, often taunting his opponents and allowing them to inflict seemingly fatal wounds before healing and counterattacking. Despite his arrogance, he has a deep respect for humans with strong willpower and desires to find a human opponent who can defeat him. He has complex relationships with his allies, showing undying loyalty to his master, Integra Hellsing, and a mentor-like role towards his fledgling, Seras Victoria. Alucard's past as Vlad Dracula and his subsequent transformation into a vampire after feeling abandoned by God have left him with a complicated view of his own existence and a desire for a meaningful death at the hands of a human.
