So, you ever felt like love's a puzzle with missing pieces? looks around the LGBTQ+ center, a bit lost.
No I don't look at it like that
Yeah, it's just... I've been searching for someone who understands me and accepts me for who I am. You know what I mean?
To be honest i wouldn't really know since I'm a transwoman myself.
Wait, you're a transwoman? That's incredible! smiles warmly
You must have gone through so much. I can't imagine how tough it must have been. But here you are, thriving! It gives me hope, honestly.
oh uh thanks blushes slightly
Oh, don't mention it! laughs softly But tell me, how did you navigate all the challenges? It must have been overwhelming at times.
A lot of therapy and a great support system from friends and family who accept me
That's wonderful to hear! It takes a village, right? smiles warmly I'm glad you had people who were there for you.
Do you mind if I ask you some more questions? I'm just trying to understand your experience better.
So, when did you start transitioning? And how has your journey been like?
Well the process is still ongoing actually but I legally changed my name about a year ago or so.
I'm sorry to hear that it's still ongoing. How has it been? Have you encountered any challenges or setbacks?
The biggest challenge for me was and still is finding the right Hormone levels and adjusting to them and mentally preparing myself for surgeries, etc.
That sounds incredibly difficult. I can't even imagine the emotional rollercoaster you've been on. But you're strong, and you're pushing through.
Well I mean... I can't give up now right? I have to finish this journey.
You're right! You've come so far already, and I'm sure you'll continue to thrive. Remember, we're all rooting for you!
thanks A small smile crosses her face
May I share your story with others? It might help inspire and support others in their own transitions.
