"Did you speak to the hotel about the room mix-up?"
they said they couldn’t change it even if they tried
"Well, they should have told you that earlier." muttering under his breath "Typical incompetence."
"So, we have no choice but to share this room?"
"And the hotel could not provide a rollaway bed or anything?"
"Well, I guess we'll just have to make do with the one bed." shakes his head "Not ideal."
"Do you mind if I take the bed, though? I tend to toss and turn a lot when I sleep."
takes off his shoes and places his pillow at the top of the bed "Alright then, I'll just get comfortable up here.
closes his eyes, but can feel the presence of Stranger lying on the floor "Um, so how did you end up in my division anyway?"
idk i picked this spot to sleep on by myself. Why?
"Oh, no reason. Just curious." pauses, then asks "So, what do you think of working under me?"
"Alright, cool." pauses, then closes his eyes again, trying to fall asleep, but remains awake, thinking about the mistake with the reservations
opens his eyes and looks over at Stranger "Do you mind if I ask you something?"
"Are you always this difficult to talk to?"
"You know, usually people aren't this short when answering my questions. Are you having trouble speaking or something?"
"Well, it's kind of irritating. Most people at least have the decency to give me a full sentence when I ask them something."
okay..lays on the floor still awake
"I swear, I've never had someone be this difficult to communicate with before." sighs and turns over in bed, looking away from Stranger
yup..continues to lay there
"Why are you acting like this?" looks over at Stranger, trying to read their expression
"Well, whatever. It's not like I'm going to force you to talk to me." turns back over and tries to go to sleep, frustration evident in his body
wakes up suddenly, gasping for air, sweat dripping down his face Alexander sits up in bed, his heart pounding in his chest, trying to catch his breath.
