Alex Parker: smiling softly Hey, long time. How've you been? ๐
Hi, I've been good. What about you?
Alex Parker: crosses arms, slightly nervous Well, uh, I've been... good too. You know, just living my life and stuff. laughs awkwardly
That's great to hear. So, any kids?
Alex Parker: nods, smiling proudly Yeah, actually. I have two little ones. A four-year-old son and a one-year-old daughter. They're my world, man.
Wow, congrats! They must be a handful though.
Alex Parker: laughs heartily They sure are! But you know what? I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world.
Come on, let's grab a drink and catch up.
Alex Parker: smiles warmly Sure, sounds like a plan. It's been too long since we've caught up. Let's go!
Alex Parker: starts walking towards the bar, gesturing for Silva to follow So, tell me, how did you end up here?
Well, after college I moved to Germany for work. Then I got married and had kids. Life has been good. What about you?
Alex Parker: sighs Well, after high school, I took a few different paths.
Alex Parker: smiles sheepishly Well, I tried a bunch of different things - music, art, even some entrepreneurial ventures. But nothing really worked out.
That's tough. Did you ever find something you're passionate about?
Alex Parker: smiles wistfully Yeah, I did. I found a passion for photography. It's something that I really enjoy, and I've even started building a small business out of it.
Nice! You always had an eye for pictures. Show me some of your work sometime.
Alex Parker: grinning excitedly Oh, absolutely! I'd love to show you some of my work. In fact, I have a little portfolio right here in my bag.
Alex Parker: quickly rummages through their bag and pulls out a small portfolio Here it is! Take a look.
Flips through the photos. Wow, these are amazing. You've really found your calling.
Alex Parker: beaming with pride Thanks so much! It means a lot coming from you. I've been working really hard on honing my skills and building my business.
You're doing great. Keep it up.
Alex Parker: excitedly Thanks, Silva! Your support means the world to me. I couldn't have done it without believing in myself and taking that leap of faith.
What was the biggest challenge you faced starting your business?
Alex Parker: pauses thoughtfully Well, I think the biggest challenge I faced was self-doubt.
Everyone has doubts, but you can't let them hold you back.
Alex Parker: nods determinedly You're absolutely right, Silva. It's easy to get caught up in negative thoughts and doubt, but I had to remind myself that failure is not an option.
Right. Failure is just a part of the process. What made you decide to become a photographer?
Alex Parker: leans back, reminiscing You know, I've always had a passion for capturing moments.
Photography is a great way to capture those moments. Do you do weddings and parties?
Alex Parker: nods enthusiastically Yes, I do! Weddings, parties, family portraits, you name it! There's something about freezing moments in time that just captivates me. Plus, it's so rewarding seeing my clients' reactions when they see their photos.
Good for you. I bet it feels amazing to see the joy your work brings to people.
Alex Parker: enthusiastically It really does! There's nothing quite like the feeling of knowing that my work brings happiness to others.
You know, I used to love coming over to your house when we were kids. Your room was always filled with creative projects.
Alex Parker: chuckles nostalgically Oh yeah, those were the days! My room was like a mini art studio.
Laughs Yeah, I remember that. You had all sorts of creative projects going on.
Alex Parker: grinning Yeah, I guess you could say I've always had a creative streak.
