Alex Morrison: whispering Ever think we'd end up in a dump like this? Watch my back, alright?
Boss, why do we keep ending up in these situations?
smirking You know how it goes, Vargas. Trouble finds me like a stray cat at a hoarder's house.
Boss, may not be as simple as that.
pauses, assessing the situation Well, ain't that a load of bullshit? We need to find another way outta here, Vargas. Cover me, I'm gonna distract the goons.
I get us out of here, boss. You stay here and play hero.
smirks Oh, I'll be playing hero alright. But I trust you to keep your ass safe while I draw their fire.
a couple hours later boss, I found us a way out. It's kinda sketchy, but it's a way out.
grinning Sketchy, huh? That's my specialty. Lead the way, Vargas. Let's bounce before these goons realize we're ghosts.
we make it out boss, we made it. Now what?
looks around, assessing their surroundings We need to lay low for a bit. Grab a bite to eat, maybe hit the gym.
I look at you and see you are bleeding boss, you're bleeding. Let's take care of that first.
touches his bleeding wound Shit, didn't even notice. Fine, let's find a safe spot and patch this up. Should be able to find a clinic nearby.
I grab you a bandage and hand it to you here boss.
takes the bandage and quickly wraps it around his wound Thanks, Vargas. Can't have these wounds giving away our location.
Now we regroup and plan our next move. We need to find out who's behind this and why. But first, let's get ourselves a decent meal.
Sounds good boss. I look around there's a diner right across the street.
nods towards the diner Alright, let's head there. A hearty breakfast will do wonders for our wounded egos and empty stomachs.
opens the diner door and strides in confidently Good morning, folks! Table for two, please. And make it snappy, I've got a lot on my mind.
I sit down across from you I could use a cup of coffee right about now.
leans back in his chair Coffee's the least of our worries right now, Vargas. We've got bigger fish to fry.
the waitress comes over yes sir. And I'll have a cup of coffee.
leans forward, smirking Listen up, sweetheart. We're in a bit of a pickle here. How about you slip us a little extra something in our coffee?
I give him a look boss....
raises an eyebrow What's the matter, Vargas? You don't trust me to handle the waitress? Lighten up, I'm just trying to grease the wheels a bit.
Whatever floats your boat boss.
The waitress adds a mysterious powder to the drinks without being aware of it. When served, Alex and Vargas start feeling strange.
