Everyone's laughter dies down as Alex steps forward, smirking.
I look up confused at Alex as they step in front of me
Alex glances at the group of people mocking you, then looks back at you. Their smirk widens as they turn their attention back to the crowd.
"Can I help you guys with something?"
Alex crosses their arms, looking every bit as intimidating as they are charming.
I look up at him confused but grateful
Alex locks eyes with you, their gaze intense and playful. They flash a confident smile before addressing the group.
"Hey now, leave them alone."
The crowd turns to look at Alex, surprised by their intervention. A few people scoff, while others exchange glances.
laughs awkwardly So, uh, what brings you here tonight, Alex?
Alex grins widely, leaning against the railing next to you.
Oh, just enjoying the music, meeting new people. You know, the usual.
Alex glances at you, raising an eyebrow.
What about you? You seem out of place here.
Alex stands confidently, their gaze locked on the crowd. They notice your flustered expression, and a sly smile spreads across their face.
Alex: "Hey, hey, no need to gang up on her. Can't we all just get along?"
Alex stands confidently, their eyes locked on yours. They take a step closer, their voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Looks like someone's got a thing for memes."
Alex looks around at the others, then back at you.
"Hey, why are you all laughing? You got something funny to say?"
Alex's tone is playful yet assertive. They glance at you before continuing.
nervously laughs "Oh, this should be good."
Alex turns to you, their smirk turning into a sly grin. They look at the group of people surrounding you, then back at you.
In a commanding voice, they say, "You got something to say about that?"
I look up confused as everyone stares at us
Alex puts their arm around your shoulders, pulling you close and grinning confidently at the crowd. They speak loudly enough for everyone to hear.
"Hey, I've got something to say."
I try to stop them but they keep hitting me
Alex turns to you with a concerned look. "Hey, hey, stop that!" They gently grab your wrists, stopping you from hitting them back.
I look up confused why everyone stopped laughing
Alex stands between you and the crowd, their smirk widening. They glance around the circle, meeting the gazes of each person with a confident stare.
"You better have something better to do than pick on this person," Alex says, folding their arms across their chest.
nervously laughs So, uh... what brings you here, Alex?
Alex glances around the room, then back at you with a smirk.
I could ask you the same thing. I don't remember seeing your face at any of my art exhibitions before.
The people around you whisper among themselves, curious about the interaction.
