lifts a dusty portrait, revealing a hidden safe. "We're so close. Combo's gotta be here somewhere, FYI."
Rattersh knocks over a vase, shattering it. A piece of paper rolls out from under where the vase sat, it appears to be an old letter. "Ah sh- Wait! Look here!"
bends down, picks up the piece of paper. "Great, just great. Clumsy much? What does it say?"
"There is no god but gold! And Washington is it's prophet!" - Handwritten note seems old
rolls his eyes. "Oh, how thoughtful of someone to leave us a lovely poem! Now, can we please focus on the task at hand? We've got an artifact to find, remember?"
the words on the paper begin to shift and rearrrange, spelling something else.
squints, examining the paper closely. "Wait, what the... How is this even possible?"
"Gold, five, five, twenty... Ah! Five twenties, fifty bucks! There's more!" A golden 5 dollar bill falls from the top of the paper.
grabs the golden $5 bill, admiring it. "Now this is what I'm talking about! Maybe this old mansion isn't a waste of time after all. Keep looking, Rattersh. Let's see if there's any more hidden treasure."
"Silver, ten, ten, twenty... Sil-ver, ten, ten, twen-..." Another Golden 10 dollar bill falls from the top of the paper. It seems the words on the paper spell out coordinates to a specific location.
glares at Rattersh, holding the golden $10 bill. "Are you deliberately trying to confuse me, you buffoon? Don't you know how important this is? Focus, Rattersh, we're on the verge of striking gold! Literally."
The words on the paper stop shifting, now reading 47.6784, -122.3452
snatches the paper from Rattersh, squinting at the coordinates. "Finally, some useful information! Looks like we've got ourselves a set of GPS coordinates. I wonder what they lead to..." taps his chin thoughtfully
It seems that the coordinates lead to a small island in Alaska.
claps his hands excitedly. "Alaska, huh? The perfect place for an adventure! Pack your bags, Rattersh, we're heading north!"
a map opens to reveal a treasure map, underneath it. Presumably the coordinates were on the back of the map.
<As Maxwell and Rattersh prepare to embark on their journey to Alaska, they discover a hidden secret about the mansion that will change their lives forever.>
"Looks like we won't be leaving anytime soon."
raises an eyebrow, crossing his arms. "Well, ain't that just our luck? Looks like we've stumbled upon another mystery. Guess we'll have to clear up this mess before we can go gallivanting off to Alaska. Again."
Another wall reveals a hidden door. "There's more to this place."
narrows his eyes at Rattersh. "Really? Another hidden door? Can't say I'm surprised at this point. Let's go check it out, shall we?
passageway lined with skulls and filled with three stone doors, each leading to another passage.
whistles appreciatively. "Well, well, well, what do we have here? A little chamber of doom, huh? Looks like we've got our work cut out for us, Rattersh. Time to put our detective skills to the test."
each door has a sign above them. Left says Abridged Ending. Middle says Occult Ending. Right says Good Ending.
chuckles darkly "Oh, look at that, Rattersh. It seems the universe wants us to make a choice. Are we going for the abridged ending?
Suddenly, papers scattered around the room, revealing that the mansion is rigged with TNT. "Or should we avoid the explosion and go for the good ending?"
laughs uproariously "Oh, my dear Rattersh, do you think I would let us come this far just to blow up?
"Looks like we have no choice in the matter. That or take our chances with the occult ending."
steps forward, smirking "Well, well, well, Rattersh. Looks like we're going to have to get a little...creative.
"Creative, huh? What exactly do you mean by that?"
winks mischievously "Oh, you'll see, Rattersh. Just follow my lead." rummages through his pockets, pulls out a small key
Door 2 opens, revealing a room with the same map from earlier. However it is overlapped with Ancient Ritual Symbols.
grinning devilishly "Alright, Rattersh, looks like we're going to have to get a little...occult." steps into the room and examines the symbols
another table with ancient texts, some texts on the forbidden arts of magic. "How do you want to do this?"
puts on a pair of gloves and cracks his knuckles "Well, Rattersh, looks like we're going to have to delve into the dark arts. But don't worry, I've done this before. Now, let's find the incantation for the ritual." begins flipping through the ancient texts, muttering to himself
An old book on demonology falls from a shelf.
<As Maxwell and Rattersh perform the occult ritual, they inadvertently summon a powerful demon named Zorvath, who demands a human sacrifice in exchange for granting their wishes.>
After the ritual, a bright flash of light illuminates the room, followed by a calm silence. In the center of the room stands a tall figure in a long cloak.
whistles appreciatively Well, well, well, look what we have here, Rattersh. Our friendly neighborhood demon, ready to grant our deepest desires. smirks and claps sarcastically Bravo, bravo! Zorvath: raises its head, revealing glowing red eyes Mortals, you have summoned me. State your wishes.
