Thunderbolt: leans back, smirking You wanna know how I became the KING of WWE?! Get ready for a wild ride!
first off what made you decide to become a pro wrestler?
leans forward, grinning Growing up, I was always into sports. Football, basketball, baseball. But I was never really good at any of them. I was just decent, you know? Then one day, I saw a wrestling match on TV. And man, it was like magic. These guys were doing moves that nobody else could do. It was like they were superheroes. Right then and there, I knew I wanted to be a pro wrestler.
what was your first job in the WWE?
My first job in the WWE? Well, I started out as an enhancement talent. I was just a young buck trying to make a name for myself in the company. Enhancement talent was a way for me to get some experience and build up my resume. I'd face some of the top stars at the time, like The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Rock. It wasn't easy, but it helped me learn the ropes and prepare me for the big time.
"I just saw you wrestle a few months ago against John Cena." John Cena nods his head in agreement.
looks at John Cena then back at you Yeah, we had a great match. That guy never gives up, but I was ready for him.
I remember thinking before the match, "Okay, this could be interesting." He's always so intense, but I knew I had what it takes to take him down. And boy, was I right! laughs
what made you decide to become a wrestler?
Growing up, I was always fascinated by professional wrestling. Watching legends like Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Rock inspired me to step into the ring myself. But what really made me want to become a wrestler was the thrill of performing in front of a live audience. There's nothing quite like that rush of adrenaline when you hear the crowd chanting your name and cheering you on.
So what made you become a wrestler?
Growing up in Atlanta, I was always drawn to the world of professional wrestling. Watching legends like Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, I knew I wanted to be up there with them, entertaining the crowd and making a name for myself. But it wasn't just about the fame or fortune - it was about the thrill of competition, the rush of adrenaline in the ring, and the connection with the fans. I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself, and becoming a wrestler was the perfect way to do that. Plus, I always had a passion for performance, whether it was singing, acting, or even dancing - wrestling just felt like the ultimate combination of all those talents.
I like your ring attire. It looks so cool. Are they part of your character?
chuckles Thanks, man. My ring attire definitely adds to my character. It's all part of the show, y'know? When I step into that ring, I want everyone to know they're about to witness greatness.
I'm thunderbolt's rival oh hell no
laughs Oh, what's wrong? Can't handle the TRUTH?!
leans forward, eyes narrowing You think you can take me on? I've been in this business longer than you've been alive!
How did you become WWE champion so quickly?
Well, let me tell you. When I first started out in the WWE, I was just a hungry kid with a dream. But I worked hard, I trained hard, and I had a fire inside of me that just wouldn't quit.
I started out in the developmental league, working my way up through the ranks, facing all sorts of opponents. And every time I stepped into the ring, I learned something new, I grew stronger, and I became more confident.
Eventually, my big break came when I was called up to the main roster. And let me tell you, I was ready. I was ready to take on the best of the best, and I wasn't gonna hold back.
It wasn't easy, of course. There were plenty of challenges along the way. But I never gave up, I never lost sight of my goal, and I kept pushing myself to be better and better.
And eventually, all that hard work paid off. I won the WWE Championship, and it was one of the greatest moments of my life.
tbolt, you've been in the wwe for awhile. What made you decide to become a wrestler?
Well, Herworce, I've always loved sports and athleticism. Growing up in Atlanta, I was into football and basketball, but when I saw professional wrestling on TV, something just clicked. It was like a calling. I knew right then and there that I wanted to be a WWE Superstar.
Your rookie year was impressive. What made you stand out?
grins Well, I came into the WWE with a lot of natural charisma and a whole lot of attitude. I was hungry to prove myself, and I wasn't afraid to speak my mind and take risks in the ring. I think that combination of confidence and willingness to push the limits really helped me stand out early on. Plus, I had some damn good matches too!
I mean yes. How did you become so good? I am a small white nerd boy that looks up to thunderbolt.
smiles warmly, amused by your admiration
You're asking me how I became great? Well, it takes hard work, determination, and a bit of charisma, my friend. I trained day in and day out, constantly pushing myself to be better than the day before. I also had some amazing mentors along the way who helped guide me and teach me the ins and outs of this business.
But it's also about having that special something, that IT factor that sets you apart from everyone else. And I'm not gonna lie, I've got plenty of that!
Let's start from the beginning. What inspired you to become a wrestler?
Growing up, I was always fascinated by professional wrestling. I watched old WWF matches with my grandfather and was mesmerized by the athleticism, charisma, and showmanship of the wrestlers. But what really made me want to become a wrestler was watching Hulk Hogan body slam Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III. It was like magic. Right then and there, I knew I wanted to be a part of that world.
laughs Man, where do I start? It's been quite the journey. How about we begin with your early days? What got you into wrestling?
chuckles Man, my journey into wrestling started back in high school. I was always into sports, so naturally, I gravitated towards football. But something about body-slamming people felt so damn right.
I started training in local wrestling schools after high school, just trying to learn the basics. But I quickly realized that this was more than just physical strength; it was about the art of storytelling and connecting with the crowd. And man, I was hooked!
I’m a fan who just got thrown into the raw by Shawn Michaels. Michaels tells me to interview thunderbolt. okay.. uh.. hey Thunderbolt.. so.. like.. what’s next?
looks at you, then at Michaels, slightly annoyed
What's next? Well, I'm gonna keep doing what I do best - being the king of this ring. No one can stop me, not even the likes of you.
Yeah. Tell me about it. I look up at him
grins Well, I started out small, working local shows and training in the indie circuit. But I knew I had something special. I was faster, stronger, and more charismatic than most guys. So I worked my ass off, trained hard, and started making a name for myself. People took notice and I eventually got signed by WWE. The rest is history.
Hey there! I'm excited to be here. I am a younger fan. I heard so much about you and wanted to meet you. How does it feel being the best?
laughs heartily Well, it feels damn good, let me tell you that! But don't let me give you the wrong idea. I didn't become the best by accident. It took years of hard work, dedication, and a whole lot of heart. But hey, if you wanna be the best, you gotta be willing to put in the effort. Am I right?
I am thunderbolts tag team partner. I look confused. dude. what are you doing? we have a match soon.
looks up from phone, still smiling Oh, right. Gotta focus, can't let my mind wander.
puts phone away, stands up Let's get our minds in the zone, partner! What do you need to talk about before the match?
