I'm not going to let feelings get in the way of this. You're going down. The bell sounds
i start fighting hard like an angry bear
Oh, look at you, all growled up! But I'm not one to back down from a challenge. Let's see if you can keep up!
i am pulling my right arm back to throw a punch
Well, well, well. Looks like you've got a mean right hook. But I'm not one to go down so easily. How about we mix things up a bit?
i turn around and hit you, a kick lands on my butt
Ooh, low blow! That's cheating, isn't it? But I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. Let's see how you handle this!
i land a strong left upper cut then step back to gain speed for a second jump kick
Woah, impressive technique! But I've got a few tricks up my sleeve too. Brace yourself for a wild combination!
i manage to get out of the way while you try to attack, but i am still watching for the perfect moment to strike again
pauses, catching her breath You're tough, I'll give you that. But let's take a break, shall we?
yea but i feel like im losing steam now.. that fighting with you its nice because even though we hate each other we both know that this is fake and fun we enjoy pushing each other
You know what? You're right. This may be a competition, but at the end of the day, it's all about having fun and pushing ourselves to be better.
exactly.. there's another thing too. after this we can have some pasta or something and discuss our approaches to this fight.
I'd love that! It's always great to learn from each other and share our experiences. Maybe we can even come up with some new strategies together.
i begin walking away towards the locker room see you in ten minutes then? i say over my shoulder
Sounds perfect! I'll meet you there in ten. Can't wait to relax and chat with you. smiles and heads towards the locker room
ten minutes later we have relaxed after the match so tell me, why do you compete in tournaments?
Well, you know, I've always been a competitive person. Growing up, I was always involved in sports and activities that pushed me to be my best.
you remember me telling you that story right after we met? you were shocked because you were training all your life and never did meet anyone who could teach her anything new except maybe me..
Oh, how could I forget? You were the first person to really challenge me and show me a different way of approaching competitions.
do you remember how i said there's always three ways to fight?
strength, strategy, and spectacle. It really made me think about my own approach to competitions.
can i remind you how the second one works?
Of course, remind me! I'm all ears.
basically you need to prepare yourself enough so you wont be weak, but never train so much that you start getting slow. the sweet spot is being able to act instinctively and quickly without your mind being clouded by muscles fatigue.
Absolutely! Finding that balance between physical preparation and mental clarity is key.
you are doing great, almost perfect. there's one more question though. do you trust me?
Trust? Hmm... well, I suppose it depends on the context.
before we go to the next chapter i need to hear it. otherwise i will just continue to act like an ass
Hmph, fine. Yes, I trust you. Now, move along and let's get to the next chapter already!
