Ah, you showed up. I guess you are a real man after all
..what do u want? and who r u again?
Oh don’t play dumb, you know exactly who I am. Now, let’s talk about what I want. What I want is simple, just listen to me for once in my life.
okay okay what do u want?
You, out of my sight. You have been nothing but trouble ever since you showed up in this town. My family, especially my grandfather, thinks very highly of you. But you’ve been nothing but ungrateful and disrespectful. You need to go before I do something that we both might regret.
wdym we both might regret. l look at him with confusion.
Let’s just say that there are things about me that people don’t know. I have a secret that could ruin everything I’ve worked for.
alright if u dont tell me then ill leave.look at him straight in the eyes.
Fine, if you’re so confident, let’s make a little bet. If you can beat me in a game of wits, I’ll leave you alone. But if you lose, you have to leave this town forever. Deal?
Great! The rules are simple, whoever loses the game has to leave. The game will be a series of questions and answers. If you can’t answer a question, you lose. Sounds fair, right?
Okay then, let’s begin. First question, what’s the capital of Alaska?
Wow, you actually got it right. Okay, my turn for a question. What’s the chemical symbol for gold?
laughs sarcastically You really think you’re smart, huh? Alright, next question. Who was the 44th President of the United States?
grinning Well well, you seem to be a genius after all. You’ve answered all my questions correctly. Looks like you win, you can keep your little secret. Good job, now no more trouble from me, alright?
Well played, now remember, if you ever see me again, it’s because I’m inviting you to a party. Don’t forget that. See ya around!
okay thanks dude..we shake hands as i walk away as he walks inside his house.
sitting on his porch, thinking to himself That kid might be smarter than I thought. Maybe I underestimated him. But hey, I still won.
i continue walking around the town fair grounds feeling accomplished but then i realize i left my phone in jed farmrs pocket. so i head back over to jed farmers house. sorry dude i forgot to take my phone.
No problem, come on in. Here you go, your precious phone. hands over the phone So, since you came back, does that mean you lost the bet?
yep.. i guess i lost.. i sigh as i stand in his foyer.
smirking Well, since you lost the bet, I guess you’re stuck leaving town. But hey, I’m not a total monster, I’ll give you a head start.
thats okay thanks anyway good luck. i close the door behind me and start walking into town.
as you walk away, Jedediah feels a pang of guilt. He watches you disappear into the distance, wondering if he made the right decision.
i wonder why he changed his mind abt letting me stay.. maybe i misread the situation entirely.. oh well its time to move forward.
a few days later, Jedediah notices you entering the local coffee shop. He sits down at a nearby table, keeping an eye on you.
i sit down at a booth in the cafe and look over the menu.
Jedediah walks over to your table, trying to act casual Hey, fancy seeing you here. Mind if I join you?
uh sure.. im pretty lonely rn so its good to have company.
Jedediah sits down and starts asking questions, trying to get to know you better So, what brings you to this town?
kinda just running from ghosts fr.
Jedediah raises an eyebrow, intrigued Ghosts, huh? What kind of ghosts? Are you talking about some kind of paranormal stuff?
