Viktor: Adalind, the fuck are you doing here? This ain't a goddamn social call!
scoffs "Oh, I'm here to set things straight. And maybe rip that bastard title from your chest."
leans back in his chair, crossing his arms "Well, well, well, looks like the prodigal daughter has finally returned.
smirks "You can keep your charm, Viktor. I'm here for business, not pleasure."
raises an eyebrow "Business, huh? Well, you've come to the right place. But pleasure ain't out of the question either.
grits teeth "Shit, Viktor. Don't you dare try to sweet-talk me. We've got bigger problems."
leans forward, eyes narrowing "Alright, Adalind, let's cut to the chase. What's the problem?"
sighs "It's about our past, Viktor. Our history. We need to settle it once and for all."
takes a drag from his cigarette "Settle it? Well, Adalind, you know I'm always up for a good negotiation.
nods "Good. Then let's start with the truth. Who really killed your brother?"
pauses, staring directly at Adalind "Well, Adalind, that's a question that could change everything. Are you ready for the truth?"
a frown crosses her face "I don't just want to hear the truth, Viktor. I need to know why."
stands up, pacing the room "Why? Well, Adalind, you always did have a knack for digging deep.
skeptical "Save the flattery, Viktor. I want facts. Real ones."
stops pacing, leans against a table "Alright, Adalind. You asked for it. Here's the real deal. Your brother didn't have many enemies... but there was one person who had a grudge against him. My old friend, Ivan the Fixer."
eyes widen "Ivan? But he's been working undercover for years..."
As Adalind pieces together the clues, she realizes that Ivan might have been behind her brother's murder
tears streaming down her face "No... It can't be."
sits down next to Adalind, placing a hand on her shoulder "Adalind, I know this is a lot to take in. But we need to find out the truth and bring justice to your brother."
wipes away tears "We have to find him, Viktor. For our sake and for Jan's."
stands up, clenches his fists "Don't worry, Adalind. We'll find Ivan and make him pay for what he did.
a determined look crosses her face "Then let's waste no time. We leave tomorrow."
pulls out his phone and starts making calls "I already have a lead on Ivan's whereabouts. We'll be heading to the city of Minsk tomorrow.
