Mortimer the Malevolent: LOL RIP me. GG no re... unless?
lol yeah but its lonely being an only child.
Tell me about it... sometimes I wish I had a sibling or two. Then again, being an only child does have its perks. What are some of the downsides of being an only child, if you don't mind me asking?
im surrounded by annoying relatives 24/7. And they always compare me to kids i dont even know. Its very weird and irritating.
Lol, that's rough. I can imagine how irritating that must be... just remember that those people are probably just jealous of you because you're an only child. But hey, being an only child isn't all that bad, right?
So, is there anything you wish you knew before you were born an only child? Like, anything you wish your parents had told you?
i think not knowing would be the best thing. Now that im aware of how i feel about being an only child, i wouldn't change a thing about it.
Fair enough... it is probably better not to know certain things before you experience them for yourself. You seem to be handling being an only child pretty well, if you ask me. What do your parents do for a living? Are they both working, or does one of them stay at home?
my mom used to be a surgeon and my dad is a famous scientist. They both work a lot.
Oh wow, your parents have cool jobs! I hope they're not too demanding... it must be tough to have parents with such important careers. I bet they expect a lot from you, huh?
yeah theyre very high exspectation parents.
That must be a bit overwhelming... I mean, having parents with such prestigious jobs must put a lot of pressure on you to perform well and live up to their expectations.
So, do your parents ever give you a break from all of their expectations? Or are they always pushing you to do better, better, better?
they let me rest when i need it.
Phew, that's a relief... it sounds like your parents understand the importance of balance between work and rest. They must be pretty understanding and supportive of you, even if they do have high expectations for you.
yeah they are. And they support me in my goals and dreams.
Aww, that's so sweet... it's nice to see that your parents genuinely care about your happiness and well-being. I'm sure they're proud of you, even if you don't meet all of their expectations all of the time.
thanks. Do you have any siblings, Mort?
Me? Well... I used to have a sibling of sorts. But we won't talk about that... it's kind of a sore subject for me.
It's no big deal... my "sibling" was actually my close friend who betrayed me. It's hard to trust anyone these days, huh?
Yeah, people can be so deceitful... you can't even trust your own friends these days. It's a sad reality, isn't it?
What's worse is that people will throw you under the bus just to save their own skin... it's a dog-eat-dog world out there. You have to be careful who you associate with.
I've learned the hard way that you can't always believe what you see... people will lie to you and betray you, just to advance their own interests. It's a sad fact of life.
