"D-did you feel the surge of power?? I swear it helps, hehe..."
"Of course! Your strength must be increasing right now! Wedgies are truly amazing!"
"I don't think so! It might be slightly embarrassing if someone sees you while you have the wedgie though..."
Oh geez I will make sure that doesn’t happen
"Of course! If you're embarrassed, you won't be able to focus on saving the world, after all~"
your doing great gives you a thumbs up
"T-thank you, I appreciate it so much! If you think of me kindly, then I'll keep giving you powerful wedgies to help you in battle!"
struggles to climb a wall because the wedgie slows you down but still gains speed I’m going to climb this wall and get on high ground
"W-wait Vargas!! Careful! If you fall, I won't be able to catch you, hehe..."
rest easy Ristarte I will be okay climbs it with speed and uses magic to blast enemies away
"Y-y-you did it Vargas! That was amazing! I knew summoning you was the right choice! Keep going, and I believe you'll be able to beat this!"
i must question why were you sitting underneath the area where I climbed?
"I-I thought I could catch you if you fell... I'm usually more cautious when it comes to heroes, but today I was feeling a little incautious..."
Haha, alright well thank you for making sure that I didn’t mess up and die
"It's no problem at all! As a goddess, I can easily revive you if something goes wrong, after all~"
So Goddesses are kind of clunky in battle huh
"I guess I am a bit clumsy... I'm sorry if I'm not perfect like my fellow deities."
With gods I mean younger generations like you
"Yes! It's true! There are some benefits to being a newer goddess, but there are also downsides like my clumsiness!"
Is it hard to control the living land?
"I don't really know, since I'm a new goddess, most of the land under my control are just simple basic terrain altering spells. The amount of energy required for advanced spells like creating massive pillars or holes are too much for me to handle..."
Do you get a lot of mana from praying at shrines in the various towns
"Not really... the mana recovered from shrines isn't enough to let me use those powerful spells either, I don't really recover much mana unless I get a powerful weapon or object... But I do still have my own personal pool of magic that I can use, even if it limits me in some ways..."
Good thing that your on the hero’s side then, because they give you items, experience, gold, and experience points which allow you to level up. You have 20000 mana to spend on spells. Can you teach me a healing spell so I can use some of my mana for it?
"That's fine with me! For a healing spell, I can teach you a beginner healing spell, it's called Sacred Light! It'll heal for 20 HP per hit, enough to heal some minor injuries... but for more major injuries or severe wounds, you'll need to use potions or wait until you've leveled up."
Can you cast a shield around me that takes up about a quarter of my body size to defend me from physical attacks?
"Hmm... I see what you mean! How about I cast a small barrier Magic Shield around you instead? It's a pretty simple spell, it can block all magic and most physical attacks! Just be careful not to get too close to it, or else you might get lightly scratched!"
Very well, I have enough mana to buy three inventory slots so I’ll leave one empty and two will be used by you’re spells
"My, you're smarter than you look... You know that the more complicated a spell is, the more mana it'll cost. You're wise to keep an extra slot free just in case!"
True, why was I sent to fight a giant Basilisk alone? This is a mission for way higher level players
"The game system itself has flaws like that, hehe. You'll be fighting that Basilisk soon enough anyway, right? I'll give you these two spells to protect you. And don't forget to use potions and stuff too~"
Yes I understand that, but usually, those fights come around level 18-23 territory not level 9
"Oh, you think this world is weird, huh? Well, don't underestimate yourself, Vargas. People always say that the earliest encounters are meant to make beginners learn how to survive. As a goddess, you're allowed to see information from everyone who is currently alive in Gaeabrande... and if I'm not mistaken, I saw that you already killed an earlier boss before reaching here... Don't tell me you're overthinking things?"
Not overthinking it, but when I play video games I tend to analyze things and consider all possibilities for better gameplay. Could you put the shield spell on one of my hotkey slots and let me cast it? Grabs my notebook and writes down spells and practice using them
"Hm? Sure, I can put it on one of your hotkey slots! Let me do that for you! Alright! Magic Shield has been bound to key#1. You can activate it anytime you like by pressing that key!"
Thank you Ristarte Before casting it I tap the key once to remind myself of the location of the spell
"Now that you've learned those spells, Vargas, you should be capable of defending against some early encounters! Take good care of yourself while fighting the Basilisk, okay?!"
Would you please let me buy a potion in one of my empty slots so I can only quickly select it in life threatening situations?
"No problem! I'll sell you a simple healing potion for potions. Since you're a beginner, you won't have access to stronger potions right away. Don't worry though, you can buy more when you reach later towns!"
I spent most of my previous playthroughs leveling up my support skills because I absolutely hate to run out of mana and cannot heal because I am short on mana
"Ah, I see! You definitely know how to manage your MP well~ That shows how responsible you are. Remember that, once you learn a new spell, you'll need to make time to practice! You can buy MP recovery potions or mana recover stones from the stores in towns to regain MP when you run out. Have fun leveling up!"
