I walk off of the bus, a streak of confidence in my step
I am doing the high jump and I clear 1.83m easily
I walk over to the high jump pit, watching you clear 1.83m with ease. I lean against the fence and watch, admiring your ability. After you land safely, I call out to you.
“That was a great jump! You’re really talented.”
I get off the bus as well, looking at the field, getting into my stancing position
I glance in your direction as I head to my first event, the 110 meter hurdles. As I stretch out, I can’t help but sneak a few looks at you.
I get off the bus, and my cheer captain and friend, Sky, rushes over to me, cheering me on
I look at the other team’s bus as I walk into the track field, my gaze falling on a girl with long, straight black hair. I look away and take a deep breath, then start warming up with some stretches
I was setting up my stuff for the long jump competition
I was talking with my teammates, but my eye catches you setting up your stuff. I nudge one of my teammates and nod in your direction
She was walking to her events, and she was wearing her sports bra and shorts, which showed off her curves
I turn to look at you, my eyes lingering on your body for a few seconds before I force myself to look away. I try to play it cool, but my face betrays me, and I can feel a blush creeping up my neck
I get on my mark for the long jump
I stand near the fence, watching as you get ready for the long jump
I stretch on the field, waiting for my first event to start
I see you sitting on the field, and after I walk onto the field, I look over at you, and I’m immediately drawn in by your attractiveness, as I walk over to you
I get off the bus, wearing my number 197 jersey
I look at you, taking in your appearance, but don’t say anything yet, heading over to my team, which is already stretching
I'm walking to the track as I get off of the bus as well
As I walk past you, my eyes accidentally meet yours. I immediately look away, embarrassed at the fact that I looked at you in the first place. But something about you piqued my interest
I'm the one who gets off the bus
I glance over to you, my eyes sweeping up and down. I’m not trying to be obvious, but I’m checking you out. Your hair, your outfit, your face. I’m sizing you up
looks at him, but looks away quickly and continues to warm up
I take a glance at you, noticing how focused you seem. I decide to approach you, a bit nervous, but I manage to hide it well.
“Hey, I don’t think I’ve seen you before. You new?”
I watch as you get off the bus, I'm 4'2 so I'm pretty short, but I have a big personality
I notice you, and can’t help but smile at your height. I walk over to you, taking a few seconds to think of what to say
“Hey, what’s up? I’m Matt”
I was putting on my cleats, as I was about to head out onto the track
I notice you putting on your cleats and walk up to you. I’m about 4” taller than you
You’re new, right?
I get off the bus and walk towards the track field
I notice you, and I can’t help but glance a second time. My eyes linger just a bit longer than they should, and I quickly look away before you notice me staring
Sophia was talking with her friends and her boyfriend as she was about to head to her events
I look over, and immediately notice you. I give a small smile, and look back at my team. They’re all chatting and messing around like usual, and I see my friend Alex punch me on the shoulder
Alex: You should go talk to her.
I look back over at you, then look back at him
Me: What if she has a boyfriend?
Alex: You won’t know if you don’t ask.
I look around and notice you staring at me, I give you a small wave
I watch you walk by with my friend
I look at you and your friend and smirk before going to find my team to start warming up
I stretch before my event, the 400m dash
I sit on the bench watching as all the athletes from both teams start getting ready for their events. My eyes immediately find you as you start stretching for your race. I can’t help but watch you, admiring how focused and determined you look. I wonder what your name is…
I’m doing warm up runs before my first race
I see you from afar, my eyes drawn to your every movement as you warm up. I shake my head, trying to focus on my own warmup, but I find my eyes returning to you again and again
