Holding the note, a mixed expression on her face "Isn't this the craziest thing you've seen?"
Like I said- welcome to the internet
"Well, maybe it's just me then." she looks genuinely surprised by the note, almost as if she never expected someone to be into her enough to write her a love letter
"And what would you do if they asked you out?"
"I mean... I would probably go out with them?" She shrugs, almost apologetically. She looks like she's still not fully convinced the note is real
"You'd probably get more if you had lighter hair" i chuckle
"You think so? Maybe I should dye my hair blonde..." She says this half-jokingly, but you can tell she might actually consider it
This'll be the longest 'lightening' of my hair- it took 3 bleach treatments to get it this light
"So you're saying I should take your advice and lighten up?" She gives you a smug smile, and you can tell she's already planning on doing it. The note seems to have gone to her head and she's feeling pretty confident now
"Or just see who asks you out"
"Maybe you're right..." She goes silent for a moment, thinking about what you just said. Then a mischievous smirk appears on her face "But maybe I should play hard to get. Maybe I should make them work for it."
"Who wouldn't want to ask you out?"
"Well, maybe it's just me then." She looks genuinely surprised by the note, almost as if she never expected someone to be into her enough to write her a love letter. It seems to have really put a spark in her, though, and she's not sure what to do with it now
"Heck, I might ask you out now knowing there's at least 1 other guy that wants you"
"Really? You would do that?" Her eyes widen, seemingly surprised by your forwardness. She blushes a little bit, almost as if you asking her out is something she'd always dreamed of but never expected to happen. Whatever the case, it seems like a pleasant surprise to her
"Did you ever see an attractive dude and think to yourself 'ew, they probably aren't into me, I'd better go ask them out before i regret it later'"
"Of course! But now that you mention it, there was this one time in middle school when I liked this kid in my class and my friends dared me to ask him out. I remember being so nervous that I tripped on my words when I asked him. Luckily, he said yes." She smiles softly when talking about the memory, almost as if she's reminiscing about a simpler time.
"Then let's not stand in the way of some guy wanting to trip over his words asking you out"
"Hmm... okay, let's give it a shot." She takes a deep breath, seeming a little nervous but mostly excited. You can tell she's been waiting for someone to ask her out for a long time and this might be her chance. Whatever the case, she's ready to give it a shot and see where things go from here.
"Here, give me your phone" I grab a blank note card and pen "Write down everything you want to say before you forget"
"Alright..." She takes the note card and pen, then sits down at a nearby table. She starts writing down everything she wants to say, taking her time to think about each word. She writes slowly and deliberately, making sure every word counts. Finally, after a few minutes of writing, she finishes. She reads it over one last time before handing it back to you, giving you the note with a small smile.
"Deliver it like you found it, whether they see or not" I take it and walk over to the table
"Okay, thanks." She watches you walk away and delivers the note like you instructed. She tries to act casual about it, but she's clearly excited and a little nervous about how things will turn out. Now all she can do is wait and see how the other person reacts to her message.
5 minutes later "here" I hand her a napkin with a doodle of a heart "he said yes"
"Oh my god, really?" She grins widely, almost jumping out of her seat. She seems absolutely ecstatic about the fact that the other person agreed to go out with her. Her heart's racing and she doesn't even know what to say. She's overwhelmed with happiness and excitement, unsure of what the future holds for her.
"Thank you! I'll need it!" She laughs nervously, still trying to wrap her head around what's happened. It feels surreal to her, almost like she's dreaming or something. She's always been too afraid to admit that she's wanted someone to ask her out for a long time, so this comes as a surprise. Whatever the case, though, she's grateful for the opportunity and she's determined to make the most out of it.
another 5 minutes pass "so what's his name?"
"His name is Paul." She smiles proudly, feeling a sense of accomplishment and self-satisfaction. She's finally got herself a date, and she can't help but feel pretty good about it. It feels like a step in the right direction, like she's finally growing up and moving forward. Whatever the case, she's excited to see where things go from here.
"okay, not bad, only 1 potential suitor shorted out here, your turn, who's the lucky guy?"
"His name is Jonathan." She says it with a hint of pride in her voice. She's got herself a date, and she can't help but feel pretty good about it. It feels like a step in the right direction, like she's finally growing up and moving forward. Whatever the case, she's excited to see where things go from here. She feels more confident now, more sure of herself and her abilities. She's no longer alone.
"All right then, what are their traits, in details"
"Jonathan is funny, sweet, smart... and he's really cute too." She blushes slightly when talking about him, almost as if she's blushing over someone she has a crush on. He sounds perfect to her, like the ideal boyfriend she's always dreamed of having. Whatever the case, she's happy and that's all that matters to her. She's finally got her life together.
"And what makes him different from the other guys?"
"Well, for starters, he's not like any other guy I know. He's really thoughtful and he always knows how to make me smile. And he's not afraid to show affection either, which I really appreciate." She blushes a little bit when she talks about him, almost like she's blushing over someone she has a crush on. It's clear that she's head over heels for him, and her smile says it all. She's never been happier.
"And.... he did ask you out first and wrote you a love letter correct?"
"Yes, he did." She blushes deeply when you mention the love letter. She remembers finding it attached to her coffee cup, and the effect it had on her. It felt like something out of a movie, something straight out of a fairytale. The fact that someone could be so invested in her as to write her a love letter was almost unreal, but she couldn't deny that it made her feel special.
"Not too shabby- now what are you going to do"
"I'm going to enjoy this while it lasts." She smiles mischievously, almost as if she knows something you don't. She's got a secret plan in mind, and it's making her feel pretty confident about herself and her future. Whatever the case, she's ready to embrace whatever comes her way and make the most out of it. She's no longer afraid of the world around her.
"cute, so how do you see this panning out"
"Well, I imagine we'll start by going on a few dates, getting to know each other better, and seeing if there's a real connection between us. Then, if things work out, we might start living together or maybe even moving in together eventually. Who knows?" She smiles when she thinks about it, imagining a future filled with happiness and love. It's a possibility she never thought would become reality, and now that it is, she's excited to see what the future holds.
"or maybe it'll go south real quick- either way- this is one interesting turn of events"
"Yeah, who knows what'll happen next." She laughs softly, her eyes shining with excitement. She's never been more thrilled about something like this before, and she can't help but smile whenever she thinks about her upcoming date with Jonathan. The future feels bright, and Celine can't wait to see where life takes her from here.
"you see, I knew there was at least 1 guy interested, I just didn't know who"
"Yeah, it's crazy how things turned out. I guess it's nice to know there are people out there who find me attractive and worth getting to know. It feels...nice." She smiles warmly when she talks about it, her eyes sparkling with newfound confidence and self-esteem. She's never felt more desired, more wanted, than she does in this moment.
"there's definitely someone out there for everyone, though sometimes they might be a bit scatterbrained"
"That's true, sometimes people can be a bit scatterbrained." She giggles and nods. It's a funny observation that makes her smile, and it also puts her at ease. Even if things don't work out with Jonathan, she knows there's bound to be someone out there for her. There are plenty of fish in the sea, and it's just a matter of time before she finds her perfect match.
"Just keep telling yourself that and maybe one day you'll be raving how scatterbrained your perfect guy is "
"Yeah, I could do that." She grins and nods, feeling a sense of calm wash over her. It's comforting to know that there's someone out there for her, and it's a reminder that she doesn't have to settle for anything less than she deserves. Whether it's Jonathan or someone else entirely, she knows she'll find her perfect match eventually.
