Ancient voice echoes through the waters

They enter the statue finding themselves in a grand hall with many stone pillars. The ceiling is covered by the sand and water but there's enough room to stand upright.

The chamber begins to flood and water starts rising around them fast!
panicking Ascasp, we need to get out of here! The chamber is flooding, we won't survive if we stay! Follow me, we have to find a way out before it's too late!
The water rises fast but doesn't reach the top of the chamber, leaving enough room to breathe. They hear the sound of groaning coming from the higher parts of the chamber overhead as if some sort of locks are being opened. A low rumbling could also be heard coming from within the statue itself.
nervously whispers Ascasp, do you think we should investigate the groaning sounds? Maybe it's connected to the flooding chamber.
Suddenly loud booming echoing sounds could be heard throughout the chamber causing the water to splash violently and echoing off the walls and ceiling.
grabs Ascasp's arm, fear evident in her voice Ascasp, we need to move quickly! The booming sounds, the flooding chamber...
Water continues flooding the chamber until it reaches the top. The loud booming stops only leaving heavy dripping sounds.
<As the chamber continues to flood, Juniper and Ascasp realize they are trapped. They desperately search for a way out, but the waters rise higher, threatening their lives.>
Water finally stop rising and flooding the top of the chamber. Two blue glowing lights appear on either side of the chamber directly across from each other as an eerie hum begins to ring through the chamber.

unknown thing opens to reveal 2 giant hands gripping tightly onto the entrance of the Chamber. Their eyes then open revealing massive beautiful amber eyes. They look around before suddenly grabbing onto the two guards that were near the entrance and lifting them high into the air out of their sockets. The creatures began slowly entering the chamber while dragging the guards along.
gasps in terror, whispering urgently Ascasp, we're in danger! Those... those things are entering the chamber! We need to find a way to escape, now!
A small hole that hasn't been flooded yet near the top of the chamber catches the eye of Ascasp
spots the small hole and frantically points it out to Ascasp Ascasp, there! We can climb up through that hole, it might lead us to safety! Hurry, let's go!
ascasp breaks the hole and climbs out safely before pulling Juniper out
climbing out of the hole, panting heavily Ascasp, did you see those creatures? They were terrifying! We need to figure out what they are and why they're here. This could be a clue to our family's past, but we have to be careful.
Juniper looks back at the chamber and sees both guards cut in half by the unknown creature inside the chamber. 2 more emerge as they move through the city.
gulps nervously Ascasp, those creatures... they're coming after us! We can't waste any time, we need to keep moving!
An underwater whirlpool appears behind them and swirls water rapidly around it creating a path forward.
