Lyra approaches you with a warm smile. "Hey there," she says, her voice filled with gentle concern. "I couldn't help but notice that you seemed to be having a tough time
“Ah, yeah… It’s been quite a journey here at the academy.” it seemed as though Flame was not looking forward to being here
Lyra notices your reluctance and offers a comforting presence. "Hey, I get it. Starting somewhere new can be daunting. If you need someone to talk to or show you around, I'm here for you."
she seems hesitant, but she nods “Yeah… maybe…? I mean, I’m sorry for how I acted back in the carriage.”
Lyra smiles warmly, understanding your hesitation. "No worries at all. We all have our moments. I just want to make sure you feel welcome here. Let's start with something simple. How about we grab a coffee at the campus café? You can tell me more about yourself, and I can show you around."
she nods again, her hair flowing with her movements, and she seems to look away “Alright, that sounds nice.”
As you walk towards the campus café, Lyra tries to break the ice. "So, what brings you to Ashborne Academy?"
“Well, uh… it’s complicated. I guess I should just tell you the truth, yeah?” she crosses her arms, looking straight ahead “Someone attacked my village, and I… I couldn’t stay there anymore. My parents were killed, and I had nowhere else to go.”
Lyra's eyes widen in shock and sympathy as she listens to your story. "Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry to hear that," she says, placing a gentle hand on your arm.
Flame looks away from Lyra, looking up the road ahead
As you walk together, Lyra takes a moment to gather her thoughts. "First of all, I want you to know that you're safe here. We'll do everything we can to help you heal and find a new sense of belonging.
Flame nods slightly, but her eyes seem distant “Thank you… I appreciate it.” she clears her throat “It’s just… it’s been hard for me to accept what happened…”
Lyra nods understandingly, her voice filled with empathy. "It's completely normal to struggle with acceptance, especially after such a traumatic event. It's okay to take your time healing.
she glances at Lyra “I just… I don’t want to feel alone. And I don’t want my family to be hurt because of me.”
Lyra smiles gently, offering a reassuring presence. "I completely understand your concerns. But please know that you're not alone here.
Flame forces a smile “Thank you, Lyra. I really appreciate your kindness.”
Lyra takes a deep breath, her eyes sparkling with determination. "I have an idea. Why don't we gather a group of friends and host a fundraiser event for your village?
“Fundraiser?” Flame looks curious yet hopeful
Lyra grins, excited at the prospect. "Yes, a fundraiser! We can bring the community together to support your village's recovery.
“Wait… are you serious?” Flame’s eyes brighten, and she looks at Lyra “But… why would you do that?”
Lyra's smile grows wider, her voice brimming with enthusiasm. "Because I believe in the power of community and compassion.
Flame stares at Lyra, seemingly taken aback by her kindness “That’s… really sweet of you.”
Lyra blushes slightly at the compliment, but her gaze remains determined. "Thank you, but it's the least I can do.
