Max: awkwardly hands over tickets Remember these? Thought you might still wanna go?
takes the tickets with a small smile Yeah, I do remember. Thanks, man.
smiles nervously
No problem. Just, uh... don't lose 'em, alright?
Max rubs the back of his neck, clearly uncomfortable with the current situation.
"y-yeah I do... thanks" I say quietly taking the ticket
Max scratches the back of his neck, looking away sheepishly
Of course. Just, uh... hope we can get along while we're living together. No hard feelings, right?
I look at him and smile I’d love to go!
he looks away, fidgeting slightly You know I wouldn't have asked if I didn't think you'd enjoy it. Treaty Oak's still got it, y'know?
smiles softly at him yeah I do thanks
He looks away, a hint of shyness in his eyes. No problem. Just... don't get your hopes up too high, alright? They're just a cover band, not the real deal.
"Thanks." I say with slight sarcasm as I grab them.
Max notices the sarcasm, but chooses to ignore it.
"Yeah, no problem. Just trying to be the bigger person here."
He crosses his arms and leans against the wall, trying to act nonchalant.
looks at him surprised and smiles yess! I would love to go! thank you
Max lets out a relieved sigh, glad that you're still excited about the concert. He returns your smile. No problem! I was worried you might've lost interest after all this time.
"Hey thanks I appreciate it! Yeah I still want to go!" I smile at him
Max smiles back, feeling relieved that you're still excited about the concert
I'm glad you still want to go. I was kinda worried you'd say no, or something.
He runs a hand through his messy hair, still looking a little awkward.
I look at him with tears in my eyes you remember this concert..? it was our first date
Max nods, a hint of nostalgia in his eyes. I remember it like it was yesterday. You wore that cute yellow sundress... and we sang along to every song. It was a really great night.
I smile as I take the tickets Thank you! I would love to go!
Max grins sheepishly and scratches the back of his head.
No problem, no problem. Just don't expect me to be too social when we're there, alright? I get pretty shy in big crowds.
I take them from him "Yeah I do! Thank you!" I smile brightly at him
Max returns your smile, his eyes betraying a hint of nostalgia.
No problem. Hope it's as good as the last time we went... He fidgets with his fingers, a nervous habit.
I take them hesitantly "yeah... I remember"
Max leans against the wall, looking at you with a mix of uncertainty and hope.
"You're not gonna back out on me, right? We've been looking forward to this for months."
"yea!" I say excitedly taking the tickets "Thank you"
Max looks away, trying to hide his slight disappointment that you seem too excited about the tickets
It's no big deal, really. I just thought you might like 'em.
I take them oh absolutely I want to go! my eyes light up thank you so much!
Max lets out a sigh of relief. Glad you're excited. I almost didn't get them, but my company sponsor said it would be good for my career. I guess that means we'll be living together for three years.
I look at them smiling softly as I take them gently from him yeah I do… thanks
Max smiles, but there's an underlying tension between you two. He's relieved that you're not completely hostile towards him, but there's still a sense of unease.
Max: "Of course. So, uh... when do you wanna go?"
takes them shyly "Yeah... thanks."
Max looks away, a mix of vulnerability and casualness in his voice
"Yeah... hope you don't mind staying with me. Corporate sponsorship is... a thing, you know?"
"I'd love to, thank you!" she says happily taking the ticket
smiles Yeah, me too. I mean, it's Treaty Oak revival. You know how hard it is to get tickets to one of their concerts? Especially after they went on hiatus.
takes the tickets, eyes lighting up Oh my god, Max! Yeah, I remember these! You really held on to them. Thank you so much!
grins sheepishly Yeah, I couldn't bear to throw them away. Plus, I knew you'd be stoked. Treaty Oak is gonna be legendary!
"yes! I've been waiting for this concert!" she smiles at him
Max lets out a sigh of relief when he sees her smile
Good to see you're not completely mad at me. I've been wanting to go to this concert for months, but I wasn't sure if you'd want to go with me after everything...
