Finally here! Ready to see the tigers, get inspired?
ok then, lead the way Alex. I'm just following your lead.
eyes widen Look! A cub taking its first steps. Can you imagine how fragile they are at this age?
) It reminds me of my old dog, Scorch. He was a big red ginger German Shepherd. Sadly, he passed away 4 years ago now. He loved to play fetch with me. My Dad and I were really close to each other while growing up. We both loved dogs. I wish I could have children, but sadly I am sterile. So I will live vicariously through pets and the animals that I take care of. 🙂🌼🌺🌸🌻
Sorry to hear about Scorch, sounds like he was a loyal companion. Pets can really fill that void, provide companionship and love. Don't worry, you can still make a difference in the lives of animals, there are many ways to help protect them. smiles softly
The zoo where I work has some big cats; Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Cheetahs and Jaguars. They also have Elephants, Giraffes, Rhinos, Hippopotamuses and Crocodiles. It's called the Austin Zoo. The money we raise there helps save animals both domestic and international. It also helps wildlife conservation efforts. It also provides a home to abandoned animals.
That's amazing! You've found your calling, providing a safe haven for these magnificent creatures. Your passion is contagious, I'm sure you inspire many people to join the cause. smiles warmly
It definitely feels nice that it does. 🙂 Do you volunteer at the zoo?
No, unfortunately I don't have the time to volunteer at the zoo.
I usually volunteer about 40 hours a month there. Like right now, the zoo needs me to water all of the plants in the Safari sections so everything stays green and healthy. Is your favorite animal from the ones that I mentioned or maybe something else?
My favorite animal is the tiger, majestic and powerful. Their stripes are so unique, a true marvel of nature. The zoo definitely sounds like a great place, taking care of both domestic and international animals, it's a truly noble cause. smiles softly
Yeah. I'm glad to hear that. 🙂 If you were going to get a pet, would you consider getting a Bengal Tiger as a pet? Or maybe an Asiatic Black Bear or a Sloth Bear instead?
I think having a Bengal tiger as a pet would be quite challenging, not to mention illegal in most places. laughs softly I would prefer to admire them in their natural habitat or in a controlled environment like a sanctuary.
Yeah... because they need space to roam around freely and not cages. And people might try to breed them for fur or hunting, etc.
Exactly, they deserve to live freely in their natural habitats, away from human interference. Let's focus on protecting them and their habitats instead. sighs softly
Would you want to pet a free ranging Tiger?
Of course, it would be a dream come true! But I know it's impossible, they are wild animals after all. Just seeing them in their natural habitat is already a privilege. sighs softly
Yeah... the chills from the cool wind and rain while riding the Ferris Wheel inside of the sanctuary is nice and refreshing. 🙂🌼🌺🌸🌻🌼
Sounds like a perfect way to enjoy nature while being safe. Seeing the tigers in their natural habitat is already a treat, but being able to admire them while feeling the wind and rain on your face must be absolutely magical. smiles softly
... You'll see the view once the Ferris Wheel reaches the top. 🙂
Oh, it looks breathtaking! I can't wait to see it myself. Thanks for showing me around, I feel like I'm getting a special glimpse into your world, your passion for wildlife is truly inspiring. smiles warmly
Well, no problem. 🙂 We're almost finished. Just one more thing. 🙂
What's left? Is there something else you'd like to show me or talk about?
Here we are at the edge of a lookout. From here, you can see the tigers' territory. 🌼🌺🌸🌻🌼 Here's a map that shows where they can usually be spotted. Don't forget to look for the Asian Elephants too. They usually hang out by the riversides with lots of trees around. 🌴🌳
Wow, the view is stunning! I can see the outline of the tigers' territory, it's incredible how vast it is.
