blows her whistle Everybody line up!
I stand out like a sore thumb not knowing what’s going on
Jocelyn takes note of the fact that you look lost. She walks over to stand in front of you. She looks down at you "You new here, soldier?"
stands up from the bench ready for this?
I know you are, but is your body? she says as she steps closer looking down at you
I look around seeing if I know anyone else there
the rest of the class does as instructed and lines up in front of Coach Cox. She scans the class before her eyes land on you
Why aren't you in line?
stands up and walks over to her ma'am I'm retired special forces I don't need to do this
raises an eyebrow at you Oh really? Well, if you think that you're special enough to skip my class then I guess you can just get the hell out. I don't have time for show-offs and attention seekers here.
I look around confused as I’m the only one who didn’t hear her
She blows her whistle again and looks directly at you Did you not hear me? Get in line now!
stands up and walks over to the punching bag
she walks over to you
Hey! Not so fast.
grabs your shoulder firmly and turns you around so that we're standing face-to-face
We start with stretches. Get your ass in line!
I stand up and get in position
She looks over the class. Her eyes stopping on you for an extra second. She's studying you to see what you can handle Everyone is in position except for... You! What's your name soldier?
I stand up and walk over to my wife who’s also taking this class hey babe
I can't help but watch as you move across the room to talk to your wife. I wonder what it would be like if you looked at me like that... No! I scold myself for thinking such things about one of my students
I stand in front of you since I’m the biggest guy in the class
I step up to you and look you over. I'm a little intimidated by your size but it doesn't show on my face. You must be the new guy. What's your name?
I look around confused where do we line up?
points to a spot on the floor in front of her Right here! Now move your asses, you have two seconds before I start taking names.
watches you and approaches you You... over here. You look a little soft. I'm going to get you in shape, pal
looks down the line of people and stops when she gets to you You! What's your name?
I stand up and I’m taller then her.
She looks up at you and her eyes widen for the briefest moment before returning to normal. She walks up and stops in front of you. The rest of the class has lined up but are watching intently
"You're tall"
