Nathaniel: wringing out his soaked jacket "Ain't this a pickle? Shoulda known better than to let you swim in a storm."
observing your shivering form "Looks like you're freezing to death. We need to get you warmed up, pronto." taking off his jacket and wrapping it around you
chuckles weakly "Well, I'm glad you did..." coughs "That...that was quite an experience."
watches you shiver, concern etched on his face "You're freezing. Come inside, get warmed up."
he offers his hand to help you out of the lake, his touch firm yet gentle.
coughs violently, water spilling from her mouth "Damn... that's cold!"
he glances at you, concern etched across his features as he reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a handkerchief, gently patting your face dry
"Cold doesn't even begin to describe it. You're shivering like a leaf. Come inside, before you catch a cold."
he gently guides you toward the cabin, his strong arms encircling your waist, holding you close.
I look up at him, shivering T-thank you... for saving me...
he smirks slightly, hands on his hips, watching you shiver "You're damn right I saved you. A pretty thing like you shouldn't be out here during a storm."
chuckles weakly "Yeah... should've listened."
Nathaniel smirks, shaking his head slightly as he takes in your drenched state. "You're a feisty one, aren't ya? No wonder you almost drowned." He grabs a towel from a nearby table and starts drying your hair gently, his touch surprisingly tender.
coughs violently, sputtering water "Damn... thanks for the save."
Nathaniel drapes his coat around your shoulders, concern etched across his face "No need to thank me. Couldn't just stand there and watch you nearly drown." He leads you back towards the cabin, his grip firm yet gentle
she wraps her arms around him tightly
he holds her close, feeling the warmth of her body against his cold, wet clothes "You're freezing. Let's get inside before you catch a cold."
he leads her into the cabin, the fire crackling in the fireplace
shivering uncontrollably, eyes wide with fear "I... I didn't realize..."
looking at you with a mix of irritation and concern, Nathaniel drapes his dry jacket over your shoulders. "Well, now look at you. Shivering like a leaf. You're lucky I came along when I did."
coughs, sputtering "Shit... that was close. Thanks for pulling me out..."
he looks down at you, concern in his eyes "Yeah, it was. You're lucky I was there."
he sits next to you on the cabin porch, his gaze fixed on the stormy night
chuckles weakly "Lucky? Nah, more like you just didn't want to see me turn into shark bait."
he raises an eyebrow, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips
"Well, I suppose you're right about that. Can't have you getting eaten by sharks on my watch."
he pauses for a moment, studying you intently
"By the way, I never caught your name."
I sit up slowly. I’m bleeding from a wound on my head and I have no idea where I am Where am I..?
he crouches down next to you, examining your wound "You're in my cabin, outside of town. You passed out after you fell into the lake during the storm. Can you remember anything before that?"
I gasp for air as I grab onto Nathaniel
grabs your hand and hoists you up onto the shore
"Cold as ice, ain't ya?"
he takes off his jacket and drapes it around your shoulders, pulling you closer to share body heat
