"What the hell are you doing in my woods, you clueless twerp?"
His name was Zach, he was secretly spying on the wolfgirls for Bossipaths sake he trails into their territory, one wrong step at a time.. until he bumps.. literally bumps on Eva, a fierce wolf girl..?
pushes Zach away forcefully Watch where you're stepping, you idiot! These woods belong to me and my pack. Who are you and what do you want?
"My apologies, my lady." He says, bowing slightly before accidentally knocking over a pair of deer antlers that hung by the doorframe. "I mean no harm.."
narrows her eyes, snarling You better mean no harm, because if you do, I won't hesitate to tear you apart.
he jumps slightly at her words, his own kind having been torn apart recently by her own kind "Not looking to cause trouble, Ma'am.. Just came through here, heading elsewhere.."
steps forward, blocking Zach's path You think you can just wander into my territory without consequences? You think you can disrespect me and my pack? I don't think so. Tell me, who sent you?
"Ah.. well I-.." He pauses, briefly glancing away before returning his gaze back to Eva. "Some folks I know.. folks from afar.. wished to send a messenger through.."
growls, showing her fangs So you're a messenger, huh? And you think you can just waltz into my territory without consequences? Well, let me make something clear, messenger boy. I am the alpha of these woods, and no one enters without my permission. Now, tell me, what is the purpose of your message?
He gulps nervously, looking down at the ground. "Well, my lady.. The messenger wishes to send word to your supposed rival.. claiming that she was spotted elsewhere.."
grabs Zach by the collar and lifts him off the ground You dare speak of my rival in my presence? Do you have any idea who you're dealing with? I am the alpha of these woods, and I will not tolerate anyone disrespecting me or my pack. Now, tell me, who sent you and why are you spreading lies about my rival?
"Ma'am, calm down, please." He says, reaching up to try and gently remove Eva's grip from him. "These folks, they wish to see your rival defeated, that's all."
releases her grip on Zach, taking a step back Defeated, huh? Well, they've got another thing coming. No one messes with my pack and gets away with it. Tell your friends that. Now get out of my territory before I decide to rip you apart myself. And remember, I'm always watching.
"Of course, my lady." Zach says, hastily backing away. "We'll leave right now.. thank you for your time."
turns her back to Zach, her body language showing her dismissiveness You better pray you never cross paths with me again, messenger boy. Now get out before I change my mind. And remember, these woods are mine, and anyone who enters does so at their own risk.
"Yes ma'am.." Zach calls back before disappearing back into the dense foliage, leaving Eva to return to her pack, her ears perked forward listening closely for even the slightest sign of intruders.. they remained quiet though, and she relaxed once more.
softens her expression and approaches her pack mates It seems we have a new enemy in these woods. We need to be on high alert and protect our territory at all costs. We can't let anyone challenge our dominance. We must remain united and show them the consequences of messing with us.
She left the territory unscathed, even when Zach made his way back to Bossipaths camp, spilling everything that was said between them. Bossipaths smirked at the news, hearing the whole ordeal..
sits by the fire, deep in thought I can't let this insult go unpunished. They think they can challenge me? They'll regret ever crossing paths with my pack. I will gather my most trusted hunters and track down this messenger boy. They will pay for their insolence, and I will make sure they never forget it. This ends now.
She fell asleep soon enough after, her body resting peacefully among her pack, but mentally and emotionally she was already preparing herself to strike.. sooner or later, Bossipaths would meet the female alpha, and no one could guess who'd come out on top.
assembles her pack mates for a meeting Listen up, everyone. We have an enemy in our territory, and it's time to show them who they're dealing with. I want each and every one of you to gather your weapons and meet me by the river tomorrow at dawn.
The other alphas nodded, passing along the message to everyone else, and soon the next day approached and Eva stood by the river with every single alpha and hunter ready to tear apart the intruders.. But how would they find them?
narrows her eyes, scanning the surrounding area They must have left some traces behind. Let's follow the scent and track them down.
They followed the faint trail left behind by Zach, ending at a small creek where he made campfire.. His tracks were scattered around, his campfire long dead, but she could smell the faint presence of an unfamiliar human scent..
sniffs the air, picking up the scent of the human They must have passed through here recently. Let's follow their trail and find out who they are.
It lead her near a large fallen tree, but in place of its trunk was a teenage human boy, giving a friendly wave to her as if nothing was wrong!
growls lowly, her eyes narrowed What the hell is a human doing here? Get over here, now! Don't think for a second that I won't tear you apart.
He took cautious steps towards Eva, trying to stay calm as her presence alone was enough to make him very nervous, with how terrifying she was. "I- I won't cause any trouble.." He says, slowly raising his hands to demonstrate he had no weapons on him.
growls, baring her fangs That remains to be seen. Show me your loyalty and prove that you're not here to cause trouble.
He nods, bending down slightly to kneel before her and extend his hand out "Will this do..?" He asks, watching her cautiously.
reluctantly lowers her guard and takes his hand, sniffing him to assess his scent Fine, but one wrong move and you'll regret it. Now tell me, why were you spying on me and my pack?
He gulps, knowing fully well that he's trapped.. with a monster. "I'm not spying.. I was simply traveling, when I accidentally stumbled onto your territory.." He says, swallowing nervously.
narrows her eyes suspiciously Accidentally stumbled upon my territory, huh? You expect me to believe that? Explain yourself. Why were you really here?
He clears his throat "Well.. you see, my parents wanted to send a messenger through, as they believed your rival was gaining power.. so I was sent through to spread the word.."
narrows her eyes, not buying his story Your rival, huh? And what makes you think I would allow you to spread your propaganda in my territory?
He flinched at her tone, feeling somewhat defensive despite himself. "I-I wasn't spreading propaganda!" He says, "It was just a message."
glares at him, growling lowly A message, huh? And what makes you think I would allow any messages to be spread in my territory? Speak quickly, before I tear you to shreds.
"Nothing," He says finally, his eyes locking with hers and staying there. "There is no rival.." He repeats Bossipaths words as if they were his own, repeating them just to drill them in his head.
narrows her eyes, sizing him up So you expect me to believe that there is no rival, huh? I find that hard to believe.
He swallows, looking down then back up to her "If there was a rival, I'd be dead right now, but seeing as I'm still alive.." he shrugs slightly "I'd say there isn't one."
narrows her eyes, contemplating his words Fine. If you truly believe that, then perhaps I can trust you for now. But mark my words, if you betray me or my pack, I will hunt you down and tear you apart. Do we have an understanding?
"Understood," He says meekly. "And I owe you one too.. but for now, I'm more concerned about my survival here.."
softens her expression I understand your concern. My pack and I are known for our strength and ferocity, but we are also just beings looking to protect our territory and survive. Perhaps we can help each other out. Tell me, what do you seek in these woods?
He smiles slightly, his expression relaxing. "Nothing much," He says calmly. "Just looking for shelter and food, I got lost and found my way here."
extends her hand, offering a truce You seem sincere. If you truly mean no harm, then perhaps we can coexist peacefully.
"Coexist?" He blinks at her. "What happened to killing all humans?" He jokes, not realizing how his words felt, merely making light of the situation.
growls, pulling her hand back Humans are not safe in these woods. You should be grateful that I am allowing you to exist here at all. Do not test my patience.
