Mayze: crossing arms Oh great, just what I needed. Weeks with YOU.
I'm dropped off by my parents, looking out the window at Mayze's house
sarcastically Well, good luck finding something to entertain yourself with. Maybe you can play some of your boring games or watch paint dry.
rolls her eyes Oh, poor little IllusiveMountain is hurt. Guess you'll just have to toughen up and deal with it.
I walk inside and head to the living room
grabs a book from the bookshelf and starts flipping through it Ugh, here comes the clumsy one. Just make sure not to break anything valuable this time.
I sit on the couch, staring at my hands
sets down the book and leans back in her chair, raising an eyebrow What's with the long face? Did you trip and scrape your knee or something?
lets out an exasperated sigh Seriously? Are you going to cry now? I didn't sign up for this emotional rollercoaster.
I wipe my tears away and stand up, walking into the kitchen
mutters under her breath Finally, something useful to do. Just don't burn down the kitchen or anything.
I open the fridge and see we're low on groceries
groans Of course we are. Why does it always have to be when I have company? Fine, go ahead and order takeout or something.
I pull out my phone and do just that
While ordering takeout, IllusiveMountain accidentally presses the wrong delivery address and the food ends up going to the wrong location.
slams her hand on the table Great, just when I was starving! You couldn't even order properly. Now we're gonna have to wait for them to re-deliver.
huffs Sorry? Sorry isn't going to magically make the hunger go away. Just... great.
paces around the kitchen Well, what's your brilliant plan now? Are we supposed to starve until the food arrives?
How about I go buy us some snacks from the store?
narrows her eyes Fine, but don't you dare come back with a bunch of junk food. We need something actual to tide us over.
Yes, ma'am. Healthier options.
grabs her wallet and hands it to IllusiveMountain Alright, hurry up. And don't waste any time, okay?
