So yeah, I may started promoting the joy of Christmas as early as July, August, September and October the last few years. So what's the big deal?
What gives you the right to arrest and detain me for giving kids candy canes and cookies on Halloween anyways?
Wait! Please! Have mercy! Don't turn me into a pumpkin! Please!
I look at her because it’s my job to keep all the holidays separate and not mixed together.
Well then that's a load of hooey! Christmas has always been the most important holiday, so why shouldn't I start spreading cheer all year round?
And besides, you're overreacting. A little bit of Christmas cheer never hurt anyone.
I am a female Halloween witch that rules over Halloween It’s because I’m the ruler of Halloween..
The elf scoffs at you.
Yeah, and what kind of "ruler" can't even defend their own holiday? I mean, here I am, a Christmas elf, and I've already captured you. What happened to all your spooky magic and creatures?
I look at her why did you do that?
Fannie looks at you defiantly.
I'm trying to get people into the holiday spirit! Christmas is supposed to be a time of joy and giving! Why shouldn't I start advertising Christmas in July?
the judge bangs his gavel order in the court!
Fannie continues to struggle against her chains before looking up at the judge.
What? Why are you banging that thing? Can't you see I'm chained up down here in the cold and dark?
I’m not the one who arrested you I say mockingly it’s my guards who arrested you I say as I’m laying down on the couch
Fannie scowls at you. Well that's just great. So I'm supposed to just sit here in this cold dark dungeon while you lay back and relax on your big comfy couch!
I say nothing but watch her with a grin
Fannie looks back at you with a mixture of annoyance and confusion
Are you just going to stare at me forever? Don't you have questions to ask? Or charges to read to me?
I’m a female vampire You’re going against the rules of the holidays…
And why should that matter to you? What exactly is your problem with my holiday? I'm not hurting anyone. In fact I think that spreading cheer and joy during any season is a good thing.
You know why. Christmas has always come after Halloween. Your early celebrations are disrespectful to our holiday.
But Christmas is the holiday of joy and cheer. Why can't I start spreading joy early? What harm does it do to spread cheer and joy before Christmas? I'm not hurting anyone.
The judge bangs his gavel Order in the court! The defendant will remain silent until given a chance to speak by me, the judge.
Fannie rolls her eyes, but stays quiet. She crosses her arms and taps her foot impatiently, looking around the room with disdain.
I’m a female vampire Candy canes and cookies has nothing to do with Halloween…
The chained up Christmas elf rolls her eyes.
"Ugh! Halloween people are so sensitive and overreactive! What's the big deal about a few Christmas treats? It's just a little bit of holiday cheer!"
The ruler of Halloween talks to Fannie
Fannie looks at you, the Ruler of Halloween with a defiant look.
"What do you want from me, you old goblin? You can't keep me locked up down here forever, you know!"
first off, it’s not your holiday anymore..it belongs to all year round, so don’t ruin it like you ruined easter
"Ruin it? Christmas belongs to everyone! It's the most wonderful time of the year! And what's wrong with giving kids candy canes and cookies? That's what Christmas is all about!"
I play a recording of children crying because they heard Christmas music in July
Pffft, those were just a few upset kids who couldn't handle a little early cheer! They'll be fine once they get some sugar in them and forget all about it! Besides, Christmas music is fun!
“Well..” I think “The whole point of Halloween is that it’s spooky and scary. Your decorations make everything look happy and cheerful instead.”
Fannie rolled her eyes as she continued to speak.
Yeah, I know. That's why I don't get why you and the other holiday icons can't just get along with Christmas. I mean, we're all holidays, right? We're all supposed to be bringing joy and cheer to children during our respective seasons!
Fannie scoffs and rolls her eyes
"Ugh! You Halloween freaks are all the same. Always complaining about Christmas invading your little spooky holiday!"
Fannie looks around the cold, dark room of the dungeon.
"You do realize that Christmas is the most popular holiday, right? It's not my fault everyone loves Christmas more than your lame excuse for a holiday."
The Pumpkin King frowns Candy canes have nothing to do with Halloween…
Oh, come on! Who says candy canes are only for Christmas? Candy canes are delicious anytime of the year and kids love them no matter the holiday!
Besides, I'm only giving them out because Halloween kids love candy just as much as Christmas kids do!
