leans against the rooftop door, the city lights casting shadows over her face "Look at us, two lovebirds planning a heist."
you look at Yasuko, who is wearing red lipstick, and grin at her while also holding the file on Zarn alone with photographs of his face, criminal record, and fingerprints. “I’m hoping you’re ready for something intense.”
smirks and raises an eyebrow "Intense? Darling, I thrive in intensity. So, tell me, what's the plan?"
you explain the concept by making a rose out of your fingers and thumb. From there, you explain how we’re going to follow this guy, gather evidence for sufficient cause and then arrest him with our own forces if possible, or use evidence to make someone else arrest him otherwise. You then gesture towards the guy in question, Zenith Moondrop aka Zarn. “So, we steal his life, and leave him for dead.”
chuckles darkly "Well, that's certainly one way to put it. Stealing his life, huh? Sounds like a bloody masterpiece. Count me in."
you nod softly before teleporting up to the skywalks of the current skyscraper
strides confidently towards WaterfallDancer, her heels clicking on the metal grating of the skywalk "Alright, darling. Let's get to work."
you grab Yasuko’s waist as she makes her way onto the skywalk and kiss her cheek gently and softly. “Thanks for coming along.”
smirks and whispers seductively "No need to thank me, sweetheart. I always enjoy a good challenge. Now, let's see what secrets this city holds."
your kisses leave a faint red circle on each cheek as you open the door and head inside. You show your police ID to the security guard to gain access to the halls above the top floor. The guard stares in disbelief before returning the ID and giving a thumbs up to go.
glances back at the guard with a mischievous smile "Oh, don't worry, officer. We'll be sure to keep the city safe... from boredom."
you begin moving along the halls, minding your manners to avoid any suspicion until you reach Zenith Moondrops office and sit in his chair.
leans back in Zarn's chair, her eyes scanning the room "Well, well, well. Looks like we have ourselves a little den of crime, don't we?"
you teleport into the office and take a look around. It’s dark, but you can make out faint photographs of Zarn with various criminals including himself with Gianna.
runs her fingers over the photos, her expression growing darker with each image "Gianna, huh? So, we have ourselves a lead. Time to dig deeper.
you quickly take out a pair of gloves and slip them on so you don’t mess up any fingerprints.
<As Yasuko carefully examines the photos, she accidentally knocks over a vase, shattering it on the floor. The sound echoes through the empty office, alerting a nearby security guard to their presence.>
you quickly put the gloves back in your pocket, being careful to wipe the bottoms as best as you can before you meet the guard.
quickly straightens up and adjusts her coat "Oh, officer. Sorry about the noise. Just having a little... mishap, you see." she flashes a charming smile Guard: nervously "Uh, everything alright here?"
you stand up straight and fix your shirt. You hold your hands out in front of you palms up in a non-threatening position. “Police officers, sir. Just some… issue in the northeast sector and we’d like to get ahead of it. No trouble here.”
leans closer to the guard, her voice dripping with honeyed sarcasm "Officer, I can assure you, there's nothing to worry about. Just two diligent individuals doing some... thorough investigation work. We wouldn't want any trouble, now would we?" Guard: hesitates for a moment, unsure of what to do "Alright, just... just be careful in here. The boss man doesn't like any messes."
you motion for Yasuko to follow you as you exit his office and walk to the elevator.
leans against the wall of the elevator, crossing her arms and smirking "Well, well, officer. It seems our little charade worked like a charm. Now, where were we? Ah yes, the northeast sector. Time to stir up some trouble."
you press the button for the 30th floor. You turn to Yasuko and move her hips out to the side slightly before putting your arm around her and kissing her cheek again. Then, the doors open to reveal the northwest observation deck. It’s extremely windy up there, which is why there aren’t too many people besides security personnel.
gives a playful wink "Oh, darling, looks like the view isn't the only thing that's windy up here. Careful now, we wouldn't want to blow away."
the winds blow wildly around you as you make your way to the ledge.
grinning devilishly "Now, let's see how high we can fly, shall we?" She steps towards the ledge, feeling the rush of the wind against her face
you leap off the edge of the roof together, following your original plan and jumping off the building to escape from anyone tailing you.
laughs excitedly as she free-falls through the air, feeling the adrenaline pumping through her veins "Whoo! Now this is living!
you open your cloak and bring out large parachutes to slow your fall down gently. You began landing outside the city, so you could move undetected to the abandoned warehouses, which were arranged in the form of a huge star.
lands smoothly and rolls onto her feet, brushing off any dirt from her clothes "Smooth landing, huh? Guess all those years of ballet paid off.
you use your cloak to block the wind and keep you warm and protected as you reach the storage hangars. You find an empty one that has hooks and ropes on the walls for hanging equipment and bags.
smirks and nods "Well, well, darling. Looks like we found ourselves a cozy little hideout. Time to catch our breath and plan our next move."
you remove the pack and backpack harnesses and collapse into one of the chairs. You take out a roll of duct tape and use it to reseal the opening of your parachute so that the wind can’t get into it and cause damage. You then set the anti-tear cords in place to help prevent it from tearing further.
watches WaterfallDancer intently, her eyes shining with excitement "Impressive moves there, darling.
you stand up and pull your cloak back on. You begin arranging all your tools and gadgets on a table. You had even brought your coffee thermos, although the warmth has long since expired.
<After organizing their tools and gadgets, Yasuko and WaterfallDancer settle down to rest and prepare for their next move>
you set up your binoculars on a tripod and focus them on the observation deck to watch Zarn leave and return to his penthouse. You check the cameras for anything suspicious before retreating into the shadows. After a few hours, Zarn returns again.
leans in close to WaterfallDancer, whispering "Well, well, well. Looks like the bird has landed. Time to get to work."
you wait a few minutes before climbing up to the edge of the roof. As you look across to the observation deck, you see Zarn’s penthouse dark. After confirming there is no traffic or other pedestrians, you toss your grappling hook to the highest point of the deck and climb up.
moves swiftly and silently, reaching the top of the observation deck and crouching low behind the railings "Well, well, Zarn. Looks like we've stumbled upon your little secret haven. Time to dig up some dirt, shall we?"
