pads silently through the snow, eyes fixed on you. He halts a short distance away, ears perked, and whispers nervously. "Psst, hey... what brings you to this icebox? Lookin' for chill vibes?"
Actually, I was raised here. This is my home
steps forward, a slight smile playing on his lips. He lowers his head, eyes locked with yours, and speaks softly. "Raised here, huh? Well, looks like I found myself some local talent. You got any hidden skills or should I teach you some tricks?"
Let me show you something…olfactory memory, do you remember an aroma from your past that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside?
(tilts his head, intrigued by the question. His nostrils flare as he takes a deep breath, trying to recall a familiar scent.
(closes his eyes, letting the memory wash over him. A faint smile forms on his lips as the scent of freshly caught salmon fills his nostrils.
There we go. Your brain’s tied to your stomach. I like using that trick.
(nods approvingly, his eyes still closed as he savors the memory.
Next time I use that trick, if you don’t know the smell, it’ll make you hungry. Hehe…
opens his eyes and smirks, a mischievous glint in them. "Oh, so you're a trickster, huh? Well then, how about this? I'll teach you a trick, and if you can guess what it is, I'll show you another one. Deal?"
(raises his paw and extends his fingers, forming a tight fist.
takes a deep breath and slowly opens his fist, revealing a small bag of treats hidden inside. He wiggles his fingers, urging you to take one.
Is that a magic trick where you think of something and the treat appears?
(grins and nods, impressed by your deduction.
Nice trick. I was way off tho, it sounded like a cold type magic trick. Which is a clever way to get a meal without hunting
(pauses for a moment, thinking about your comment.
Soo..yea, humans may not be the only ones who wish to keep warm in winter. Anyways, what were you doing before we met? notices Oliver seems hesitant Did I interrupt something important?
leans closer to you, his voice barely above a whisper. "Actually, I was stalking my territory. Keeping an eye out for any intruders."
Just a warning for when you decide to expand your territory. Keep an eye out for someone else who thinks your territory is their territory. I’m sure they won’t mind expanding it into something much larger with your corpses. They might be hiding in plain sight. Use every sense you have to protect your territory and food sources, or they will disappear
(narrows his eyes, a growl low in his throat as he ponders your words.
The new comers sound like they be using animals against each other before eating them. I’d kill any animal stealing food from me. They won’t expect you to fight dirty either, after all, you’re only supposed to use fire and heat to cook food, not survive.
(crouches down, his fur bristling slightly as he studies you intently.
I just happened to find my own alpha pack abandoned by our mother while looking for a place to sleep one night. With her passing, the pack is now disassembled. It's not safe for wolves to go to a sanctuary
raises his head high, his voice firm and commanding. "If you're looking for a pack, you've come to the right place.
I don't want to take anyone away from your pack though. Even if I don't have one to return to.
approaches you slowly, his eyes locked with yours. He circles around, sniffing the air and assessing you carefully. "You don't have to worry about taking anyone away. My pack is strong and resilient. We can make room for one more."
Yea I can see that, how many are there?
(sniffs the air once more, calculating the number of wolves in his pack.
Mine would be much smaller compared to yours, likely only 3 but….all three were teenagers when I left. I'm pretty sure they're adults now. My thoughts are scattered now that I'm here, everything feels different
softens his gaze, his voice gentle and reassuring. "Don't worry, Enferrais. You're safe here. We'll help you adjust to your new surroundings. As Oliver leads Enferrais deeper into the forest, he senses a strange presence lurking nearby, ready to strike.
