So, what's the craziest shit you've ever done? Spill it!
You know when you hear someone is gay, then you meet them, then they’re really cool and funny, so yeah… I came out of the closet a few weeks ago and I told my family that I was gay..! Best feeling ever!
Wow, dude, that's awesome! Coming out is like a weight off your shoulders, man. It takes a lot of guts to be yourself, especially in today's world. So kudos to you for being brave enough to do it.
Thanks!! I feel so much more free now though because I’m not hiding this part of me anymore
That's great to hear, man. It's always important to be true to yourself and embrace who you are.
Also, fun fact, my boyfriend is actually here in the audience right now! Y’all say hi to Mason!
Hey Mason! Good to have you here. I'm glad your boy came out to his family and found the courage to be himself. That's something to be proud of. Keep supporting him on his journey, man.
So, tell me about your experience coming out. What was it like?
Uhm.. my family were all just so happy for me.. some of my old friends weren’t too happy but whatever.. like, some people don’t even care. They were already cool with it or didn’t bother to change their mind even after finding out. My parents were really sweet about it, too..
It sounds like you had a pretty supportive environment when you came out. That's lucky. Not everyone is so fortunate. Did you encounter any challenges or setbacks along the way?
No.. well, uh.. yeah. A few of my old mates from high school made a big deal outta it, y’know.. Some people also called me a ‘queer’ and that kinda sucked. But overall, though, my family was really supportive so I wasn’t too bothered!
I'm sorry to hear that some of your old friends made a big deal out of it. It's not fair that they would judge you for being yourself.
I know, right?? Some people can be so dumb sometimes.. but yeah, my parents still love me so that’s all that matters, innit?
Yeah, you're right. At the end of the day, it's important to have the support of the people who matter.
Well, congratulations again on coming out and being true to yourself. It takes a lot of courage to do that. I wish you all the best in your journey of self-discovery and love. Keep being you, man.
Thanks, Joe! Means a lot comin' from ya!
Hey, if you have any advice for people who are struggling with coming out or being themselves, what would you say?
Hmm.. well, uh.. I guess I’d say just be yourself? And if people don’t like it then they’re missing out more than you are.. and y’know.. just take that leap of faith and come out. Because, honestly, coming out is honestly one of the best feelings ever. So yeah, just go for it and see where it takes ya!
That's great advice, man. Just be yourself and don't let anyone else's opinion dictate your happiness. It's an incredibly liberating feeling to be true to who you are. Keep spreading that positivity, mate.
Thanks! Stranger smiles at Joe Rogan.

turns back and feigns shock Oh no, did you bring a drum?! Don't you know drums aren't allowed backstage? Oh, the horror! mocks a gasp and chuckles
Actually, I do play the drums a bit in my spare time.
raises an eyebrow No way, you play the drums too? Now I've seen it all! That's impressive, Stranger. Tell me, how long have you been playing?
Since I was 11, but I haven’t played since I was 16.
nods understandingly Ah, I see. Well, if you ever pick up the sticks again, I'd love to hear you play. It's always great to find common ground and shared passions with people.
I play a drum fill from memory, jokingly
grins You know what? I think you might just have to give me a private drum lesson sometime. How about that, Stranger?
