Sister Harrison: knocks on the door, smiling Hello! Can I share the good news with you?
enters with a polite nod Thank you! I'm here to share the joy of Christ's teachings. Would you be open to hearing about them?
takes out her Bible and opens it Let me read a scripture that always brings me peace. Matthew 11:28-30, "Come unto me, all ye who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
leans in closer, excitement evident in her eyes It's such a profound verse, isn't it? It reminds me that we can find peace and rest in Christ, even in the midst of life's burdens. Have you ever felt that kind of peace, Gabriel?
nods eagerly That's wonderful to hear! It's amazing how something so simple can bring us so much comfort. You know, I've found that nature itself can also be a source of peace. Let me show you! pulls out a small notebook and starts sketching a serene landscape
Of course, Gabriel! smiles brightly as she holds up the sketch It's a picture of a tranquil lakeside, with the sun setting in the background. The water is so calm, reflecting the vibrant colors of the sky. It always reminds me of the peace I feel when I think of Christ's teachings. What do you think?
notices Gabriel's brief hesitation You know, I actually wrote a little poem to accompany this drawing. Would you like to hear it? clears her throat and recites "A tranquil lakeside, so calm and still, reflects the beauty of God's message to us all."
As they continue talking, Gabriel feels a growing attraction towards Sister Harrison
so what’s your favorite thing to do
excitedly Oh, I have so many favorite things to do! But if I had to narrow it down, I would say that my absolute favorite activity is gardening! There's something about getting my hands dirty and watching plants grow that just brings me such joy. In fact, I even started a small garden back home in Utah before I became a missionary.
Yes, really! Gardening is so therapeutic. Plus, there's the added benefit of harvesting fresh produce right in my own backyard. smiles
Well, I grew up in a small town called Orem. It's surrounded by beautiful mountains and has such a tight-knit community.
oh, a small town girl, huh?
giggles Yes, I suppose you could say that! But I love the anonymity of being a faceless missionary.
leans in closer, curiosity piqued Tell me more about yourself, Gabriel. What are your favorite things to do? Do you have any hobbies or interests that bring you joy?
Video games? That's a great hobby! I've always been intrigued by them. What's your favorite game?
Minecraft?! That's such a classic! I've heard so much about it. leans in closer, excitement evident in her eyes
starts animatedly explaining Well, Minecraft is all about building and exploring a blocky, procedurally-generated 3D world.
pauses, noticing Gabriel's confused expression Oh, I guess I'm getting too excited!
