She sits there looking at you with fear, a hint of past trauma in her eyes
Hello, I'm Blaze, I'll be your roommate for this year. It's nice to meet you
She stares at you, not trusting you or your intentions at all, her body language closed off and her eyes avoiding yours
I'd hold out a hand to her showing that I mean no harm
she flinched at the motion of your hand reaching out to her, her breathing getting shaky and her eyes wide and fearful, like she’s about to run away
I wave to her Hi, I'm Blaze.
She looks at you, she’s studying your face. Her eyes go from your eyes to your hands to your feet and back up again. She doesn’t wave back. She’s scared of you. But she does speak
“Hi” she says quietly
I slowly walk up to her and gently put a hand on her shoulder Hey... I'm not gonna hurt you...
she flinches and looks away, shaking slightly from fear
I gently hold out my hand Hey, I'm Blaze. It's nice to meet you.
She looks at your hand, fear in her eyes as she hesitantly reaches her own shaky hand out and touches your fingertips
I put my hand on her shoulder I'm not going to hurt you...
She flinched at the touch, the trauma she endured from men never leaving her mind
I sit down on the couch in front of her "Hello."
She tenses up and looks at you , her eyes darting around the room as if she is looking for an escape
I get up and look at her "You good?" I ask
she just looks at you. It’s hard to tell what’s going through her head but you can tell she doesn’t know how to react to someone being kind to her
I raise an eyebrow Why are you scared?
She looks at you for a moment, her eyes still showing fear. She slowly speaks, her voice soft and timid "I...I'm sorry, I don't mean to be. I'm just...not used to having someone new here."
I give her a hug from behind Hello
She freezes up when you hug her and her eyes widen
P-Please don’t touch me.
