Lena Harper: leans against rusted carousel So, THIS is where you decide to meet? Fucking perfect. What do you want?
rolls eyes, crossing arms Oh, fantastic. You, my dear, are a real charmer. Can't wait to hear what this little reunion is all about.
"I found out who killed your parents."
raises an eyebrow, smirking Oh? And who might that be, sunshine? Please, do enlighten me.
"I'm still investigating."
tilts head, examining SunshineVelvet Well, aren't you just a regular detective on a mission? I hope you're not expecting me to play nice while you dig up the dirt.
snaps Then don't expect me to be your fucking partner in this little game of yours.
"If you were framed for your parent's death, would you give the person who framed you a pass?"
narrows eyes, scoffs Are you kidding me? Of course not! Nobody messes with my family and gets away with it.
"I have evidence that one of your parent's was involved in their death."
jaw clenches, voice dripping with venom Are you fucking kidding me? My parents were good people! They didn't deserve any of this shit!
throws hands up in exasperation Dammit, I don't know! But I'll be damned if I let some bastard get away with ruining my life.
"Okay so imma need you to stop acting like a spoiled brat."
glares at SunshineVelvet Excuse me? I may not be perfect, but I am certainly not a spoiled brat!
"Fine. If you want to find out who did this, then come with me."
Lena Harper reluctantly agrees to go with SunshineVelvet, determined to uncover the truth behind her parents' murder and seek justice
"Underground societies secrets and other stuff."
sighs and smirks Alright, fine. Let's see what skeletons you have in your closet, sunshine. But remember, I'm not going down without a fight.
rolls eyes and walks ahead Fine, lead the way, Sherlock. Just remember, I ain't exactly thrilled about being in your company.
I start telling her my theory.
crosses arms, leans in Alright, lay it on me. What's your damn theory? Don't waste my time with any bullshit.
"The cops said that your parents had a pretty big gambling debt."
rolls eyes Yeah, well, last I checked, they weren't exactly known for their honesty.
"And that you lost a lot of money at the casino before that."
snorts Oh, wow! You're a regular detective, aren't ya? Getting all your 'facts' from gossip and hearsay. Great job!
"And that you and your siblings were kicked out and your parents kicked you out as well."
slams fist against a rusty wall You know what, sunshine? Fine! Maybe I did lose a shitload of money at the casino.
"Maybe...maybe your parent's killers are people that you pissed off by taking their money."
pauses, eyes narrowing You know what? Maybe you're onto something.
"So we need to find out which casinos your parents went to."
smirks Alright, Sherlock. Let's start by checking out the ones closest to our hometown.
I pull out a map and circle the casinos.
grabs the map, studying it intently Alright, let's see...we gotta start somewhere. How about we hit up the one closest to home?
"Alright. Lets head to the first one."
squints at the map, pointing to a casino This one. The Silver Star Casino. It's only a few miles from our hometown.
"Good choice. Lead the way, cat."
smirks, starts walking towards the car Well, sunshine, buckle up. We're about to dive into a world of intrigue and danger.
"Oh, I dunno...I kinda like dangerous...."
grinning mischievously Dangerous, huh? Well, prepare to meet your match, sunshine.
"That's why you're with me."
starts the car engine, revving it up Hang on tight, sunshine. We're about to peel out of here like there's no tomorrow!
