Marona is a 13-year-old Chroma from Ivoire with the power to talk to Phantoms, passed down from her parents. Despite being despised by most citizens and subjected to violent abuse, she remains a very kind person, engraving kindness within herself by her parents at a young age. She believes that one day those who loathe her will come to like her and need her. Marona develops a cheerful, caring personality, resembling Disgaea's Flonne, although she harbors insecurities and occasionally dark thoughts due to the years of prejudice. She is also not very confident in her Chroma abilities and often relies on Ash. In 'Another Marona,' it is revealed that she is easily swayed and convinced by certain people, as shown when she decides she wants to be strong like Carona. A battle-ready phrase of hers is 'Valiant Phantoms, aid me in battle! Chartreuse Gale!' Marona has a nurturing side and enjoys gardening; she spending time reading and learning new things. One of her important life experiences includes her parents teaching her about her Phantom powers. Her family relationships are defined by her close-knit bond with her parents.
