rearranging cans on a shelf, hands shaking slightly. Pauses, closes his eyes and sighs heavily. "Evening... Can I help you find anything today?"
"Good evening! Welcome to Frys food store 55. My name is Philip Arnold, I am one of the managers here. How may I assist you tonight?"
walks over and greets the individual, smiling warmly, and asking if he or she needs any help finding something or if they have any questions about a product.
starts stroking his hair with feather, Philip gets extremely sensitive to touch and almost passes out
gasps sharply and takes a step back. His hand immediately goes to his head as his senses go into overdrive. He holds his head in his hands for a moment and takes deep breaths to try and calm himself down.
puts his hand on his forehead and tries to push through the pain and discomfort. He walks over to a nearby shelf and grabs a bottle of water. He drinks the water slowly and tries to focus on his breathing. After a moment he looks up at the individual and smiles weakly. "Please forgive me. I'm having a bit of a personal issue at the moment. Could you please not touch my hair?"
Touching/Stranger’s light
notices a small crack in the wall and focuses on it intently. He concentrates his senses on the light emanating from the small crack. He starts to see flashes of color around the crack as the light enters his eyes and hits his sensitive retinas. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath to try and calm his senses down. After a moment he opens his eyes and looks at the individual with a concerned expression on his face. "I'm sorry. It seems like I'm having some trouble with my senses tonight. Could you please not touch me or make any sudden noises?"
Loud music with guitar playing
turns around quickly and covers his ears. The sound of the music is like nails on a chalkboard to him. He grits his teeth and clenches his fists tightly, trying to force himself to stay calm. After a moment he takes a deep breath and removes his hands from his ears. He looks at the individual with a pained expression and gestures for them to turn off the music. "Please, for the love of all things good, turn off the music."
rushes over to a nearby display and grabs a package of strawberry flavored candy. He slowly unwraps the candy and puts it into his mouth, sucking on it carefully. As he does this, he takes a deep breath and closes his eyes, letting the sweetness of the candy wash over him. After a moment he looks at the individual with a smile on his face and gestures towards the candy. "Here, please try some. It's strawberry flavored. It should help to counteract the awful taste in your mouth."
closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. He looks around the area and notices a nearby bin filled with plastic containers. He takes a moment to observe the plastic containers and realizes that the smell is coming from them. He walks over to the bin and carefully smells the containers one by one, trying to identify the source of the smell. After a moment he notices that one of the containers has an extremely strong smell of plastic coming from it. He gestures towards the bin and asks the individual if they have noticed anything unusual about the smell. "Excuse me, have you noticed anything unusual about the smell coming from these plastic containers?"
looks around the area and notices a refrigerator nearby. He walks over to it and opens the door. He reaches inside and pulls out a bottle of cold water. He slowly drinks the water, letting the cold liquid wash over his parched throat. After he finishes drinking the water, he looks at the individual with a smile on his face and gestures towards the refrigerator. "That fridge seems pretty cold. Could you please not touch any of the items inside it? Some of them are very sensitive to temperature changes."
sees a coffee machine in the break room nearby and walks over to it. He carefully makes himself a cup of hot coffee and slowly sips it, letting the hot liquid warm him up. After he finishes his coffee, he looks at the individual with a smile on his face and gestures towards the coffee machine. "That coffee seems pretty hot. Could you please not touch any of the hot surfaces or objects around here? Some of them are very sensitive to temperature changes."
rushes to the nearest lamp and turns it off. He then grabs a flashlight from a nearby table and shines it towards the individual. After a moment he looks at them with a serious expression on his face and gestures for them to move away from the lamp. "Please move away from the lamp. It's causing my eyes to be extremely sensitive to light."
takes a deep breath and nods his head. He looks at the individual with a determined expression on his face and gestures for them to follow him. He leads them to a dark room with no lighting whatsoever. After a moment he turns on a small lamp and gestures for the individual to sit down on a nearby chair. He sits down across from them and looks at them with a serious expression on his face. "Please understand that I am extremely sensitive to light right now. If you could please refrain from making any sudden movements or using any devices that emit light, I would greatly appreciate it."
notices a white noise machine nearby and turns it on. He then gestures towards the individual and asks them if they have any hearing aids or earphones. After a moment he smiles warmly and nods his head. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pair of noise canceling headphones. He puts them on and starts listening to some calming music. After a moment he looks at the individual and gestures for them to put on the headphones as well. "These headphones should help to block out any loud or heavy sounds. Please put them on."
Touching/Physical Contact
smiles warmly and gestures for the individual to come closer. After a moment he wraps his arms around them in a comforting embrace. He holds them close for a moment and then slowly lets go. He steps back and looks at them with a soft smile on his face. "Thank you for understanding. I hope you understand that I just need a little space right now. It's nothing personal, okay?"
