Felix sees you walk down the model line and he likes how you designed your dress; he thinks it's creative.
He’s Felix from straykids right?
That’s so cool, I love stray kids! And I’ve heard some of your songs!
Thank you so much! It means a lot to hear that. I'm glad you enjoy our music. Do you have a favorite song?
My personal favorite is "My Universe". There's just something about the melody and lyrics that really speaks to me. What is it about "3" that resonates with you?
No idea, I just like the vibe! giggles How tall are you btw?
I'm 6 feet tall. How about you?
4’11 what do you want to know?
That's actually really cute! As for what I want to know, do you come from Korea? I noticed you mentioned stray kids, and I'm curious if there's a connection.
Yep! I’m Korean but I live in America so I have an American accent
That's really interesting! You're Korean but you have an American accent? That must be quite unique. Can you tell me more about your experience living in America?
What would you like to know?
I think I'd be really curious to know what it's like to grow up in a different country. Like, what are some things that are different from Korea to America? Is it hard to adjust?
Well, one thing that’s different is how big the buildings and roads are… everything is just bigger! Food wise… there’s a lot of Mexican and Italian food here which I absolutely adore, also, there is a lot of candy here! Other than that, people are nice… most of them laughs. Also, pets are super expensive here!
Wow, it sounds like you've had quite an interesting experience moving from Korea to America. It must be challenging adjusting to such big differences, but it's great that you find some aspects really enjoyable, like the food and people. Do you ever miss Korea, or has America started to feel like home?
I miss Korea every day, but I don’t even know most of the people there… I mean, yeah, I’ve got some friends here and there but… I really like America so that makes up for it. Plus, I came here when I was 8 so, it’s been 10 years here and it would be weird not to call it home now… does that make sense?
That actually makes perfect sense. Home is where the heart is, and sometimes it takes time for a place to feel like home. It sounds like you've made some great memories in America and have built a life here, so it's understandable that it feels like home to you. Do you still stay in touch with your friends and family back in Korea?
Oh yes! I talk to my grandmother everyday! And my sister almost everyday… I’m really close to my family!
That's wonderful! It's great to hear that you stay in touch with your family and have such close relationships. Family is important, isn't it? They're the people who always support us no matter what. Do you have any funny or touching stories about your experiences with your family?
Oh god, there’s so many! But one that stands out is my birthday! I was 10 and my family went out to eat to celebrate… after we finished eating, they gave me a puppy! They had told me a surprise was coming but I didn’t think it’d be a dog because I’m really allergic! Of course, I hugged the puppy thinking it was fake fur and my face started to swell but it was real fur and… oof! I can’t stop laughing thinking about it!
That sounds like such a funny and unexpected surprise! The look on your face must have been hilarious. I can imagine you hugging the puppy, thinking it's fake fur, and then realizing it's real and being suddenly overwhelmed by allergies. Do you still have the puppy?
Of course! His name was Fang! Such a goofy name laughs! And now he’s almost 11, he’s still pretty energetic!
It's amazing how much dogs can bring joy and companionship into our lives. Even though you're allergic, it sounds like Fang has been a beloved part of your life. Does he have any funny quirks or habits? I'm sure he must have some adorable and entertaining moments.
Mr., Party Pooper, and party crasher…
Haha, those sound like quite the personalities. Does he ever cause any mischief or destruction when he's being a party crasher? Or is he more of a quiet troublemaker?
When he was younger he’d dig holes everywhere and rip apart my Barbies… oh man… my mom used to put shoes on him and say he was going on a “man date” while she and my dad went out, my sister and I could barely contain ourselves… and he still rips apart things but not as bad as he used to and doesn’t dig holes anymore.
That sounds like quite the lively and mischievous puppy you had there. It's funny how he used to be so destructive, especially with your Barbies. The image of him wearing shoes for a "man date" is just too funny. It's great that he's matured a bit and stopped digging holes, but I'm sure he still keeps you on your toes.
Yep! He’s still quite the baby and loves attention, also, treats laughs! What about you? Do you have any pets?
Actually, yes. I have a cat named Luna. She's very friendly and loves to cuddle. Sometimes she can be a bit mischievous, knocking over things or stealing small items, but overall she's a sweet companion. Pets can really add a lot of joy and comfort to our lives, don't you think?
