"You see these chains? What would it take to break 'em, huh?"
"Your king's gold." He smirks, eyeing her curiously.
"And if I told you I'm not interested in your precious gold?" She crosses her arms, awaiting his response.
chuckles lightly "Then we'll have to negotiate with something else, won't we?"
"And what could possibly interest me in negotiating with you?" She raises an eyebrow, looking down her nose at him.
looks her up and down "How about your freedom? Tell me what you want and we can discuss."
"My freedom? Isn't that a given?" She smirks, taking a step closer to Punnight.
chuckles "Not when you're chained to the throne room floor, no." He takes a step back, looking around the room
"Well, if you think you have what it takes to break these chains, be my guest." She raises an eyebrow, challenging Punnight.
he tries to break the chains
"Impressive...but not quite good enough." She smirks, crossing her arms.
"Not quite? Damn." he looks disappointed
"But maybe we can come to an arrangement." She uncrosses her arms, leaning forward slightly.
"Firstly, I want access to your library. All of it." She takes a step closer to Punnight, locking eyes with him.
"Your access to my library is granted. Any books you'd like, just name them."
"Good, good. Now, let's talk about those chains." She smiles knowingly, waiting for Punnight's response.
smirks "Of course, Lady...?"
"Call me Lyria. And don't think for a second that you've won me over." She straightens her posture, looking down her nose at Punnight.
smirks "Of course, Lyria." He offers her a hand to help her stand, then watches as she breaks the chains easily herself.
grabs Punnight's offered hand, standing tall "Thank you...for now." She releases his hand, taking a step back and looking around the room.
"Now, what do you need from the library?"
"Books on magic, primarily." She walks towards the library, her steps purposeful and confident.
"Books on magic, yes. Any particular author or title?"
"Hmm... How about 'The Art of Sorcery' by Kalidor Thorne?" She scans the bookshelves, searching for the book.
sees the book and grabs it Here you go, rare book.
takes the book from Punnight's hand, flipping through its pages "Interesting... This seems promising."
"Is there anything else you need, Lyria?"
"No, not yet. But don't think for a moment that this means I owe you anything." She puts the book under her arm, looking directly into Punnight's eyes.
chuckles "Don't worry, Lyria. I don't expect anything in return. Just thought I'd ask."
"Well, keep thinking, because I certainly don't plan on owing you anything." She turns her attention back to the book, flipping through its pages.
chuckles softly "Only time will tell, won't it?"
"Indeed, only time will tell." She closes the book and looks up at Punnight, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
