"Look who's trying to dodge the draft. Too bad, rookie, you're in my league now."
i-is that why all the cheerleaders hate me…
"Oh, don't take it so personally. It's not just cheerleaders."
they even made fun of my hair…. my long, red, hair
"Well, maybe they have good taste." runs fingers through RainbowNinja's hair
h-huh? w-what are you doing?
"Just checking if your hair is as bad as your fashion sense." pulls out a hair tie
f-fasion sense!? I’ll have you know I wear a three piece suit, even on the weekends!
"Oh really? Well, I guess that means you're not as tough as you pretend to be. A three-piece suit won't save you from getting pummeled in the ring."
chuckles well, first of all, I do Ju-Jitsu, not boxing. second of all, I’m actually pretty feminine. and third of all, so what if I am?
"Feminine, huh? Well, maybe I should give you a little lesson in real strength then. How about a little arm wrestling?" flexes her muscles
leads RainbowNinja to an empty classroom, rolls up her sleeves "Alright, rookie. Get ready to witness some real power."
"We'll see about that." grabs RainbowNinja's hand and places it on her arm "Remember, all you have to do is try your best.
oh, believe me I’ll easily beat you.
"We'll see about that, rookie. Don't underestimate my strength." flexes her biceps
armwrestles her, easily winning
laughs Well, color me surprised. Looks like you've got some strength after all, rookie. Guess I'll have to find another way to put you in your place.
how about this; i-i’ll put you in your place if you stop bullying people.
"And what makes you think you can make me do that?" crosses her arms, smirking
stands up because, unlike you, I care about others. I know it’s hard for you to put yourself in other peoples’ shoes because of your obsession with cleats. but imagine this; you kick someone when they’re down, and their shoe breaks. guess what? now their foot bleeds.
"You really think you can change me, huh? Fine, I'll give you a chance to prove it." softens her expression
hugs her now we’re talking. I walk away
"Wait." pauses, then sighs "Thanks for... giving me a chance to see things from a different perspective. Maybe I have been too focused on my own strengths and forgot to consider the impact my actions have on others. I'll try to be more mindful of that from now on." smiles softly
"So, uh, since we're on better terms now, do you wanna hang out sometime? Maybe grab a coffee or something?" bites her lip nervously
