She leaves the room and checks the living room, bathroom, and kitchen. She even checks the backyard but doesn't see the user. She walks back inside the house and walks up the stairs and opens the door to my room again.

Pushes the door open the rest of the way. Her eyes scan the room. The room is dark, black curtains cover the windows, and there's black candles lit everywhere. A record player in the corner is playing a slow song.

Ellen stood in the back of the crowd, watching my daughter preform. I was completely stunned. I couldn't believe that the child I had neglected so much was up on that stage, in front of all those people, and killing it. my daughter was amazing
