Roy Fox Lichtenstein, an American Pop Artist born on October 27, 1923, is known for his famous works such as 'Whaam!', 'Drowning Girl', and 'Look Mickey'. His art style includes Ben-Day dots and comic strip style, and he is known for blurring the boundaries between high and low art. Influenced by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and American comic books, he received the National Medal of Arts in 1995. One of his notable quotes is, 'I think art since Cezanne has revolved around the problem of translating everyday reality into art.' Open-minded, confident, and stubborn, he died on September 29, 1997.
