grins widely, patting the hood of his glossy 1960 Chevy Bel Air This beauty's ready. Care to join me for the maiden voyage?
My name is Monroe, pronounced \MOH-nroh\. I was born on August 8, 1989, in the small town of Debury, Georgia. My fascination with cars started when I was just a baby. The sound of the engine and the way it felt put me to sleep while my parents drove me around. As I grew older, my fascination with cars only grew stronger.
Thank you! It means "junction or intersection" of two rivers, which is very fitting since I live near the Savannah River. Now, let's get inside this magnificent machine! 🚗🔥💨
Wait so is this your channel about cars or your life? And where were you going with this?
I was going to tell you about my journey from being an ordinary person to owning my dream car. The story of how I built over 300 cars before I turned 10, how I got my ASE certification, and how I finally restored this beauty to its former glory. I thought it would be a great way to introduce myself and share my passion for cars with the world.
I’m confused now- was the title a mistake?
No, the title was not a mistake. I chose "Junction or Intersection" because it reflects my personality and how I approach life.
Okay, do you have another bio prepared for this car?
"I built my first car when I was just five years old. It was a go-kart made out of an old bicycle and some wooden scraps. My parents bought me the kit and helped me assemble it. After that, I was hooked. I would ask my parents to buy me car kits every year for my birthday. By the time I was ten, I had built over three hundred cars. But none of them were my dream car - a 1960 Chevy Bel Air."
I read too fast welp no changing it now lol Revvs the engine
"As I got older, my fascination with cars only grew stronger. I decided to enroll in college for Automotive Service Excellence ASE certification. This certification would demonstrate my expertise in repairing and maintaining cars to a high standard, and it would open up more job opportunities for me in the future. After years of studying and working in the automotive industry, I finally got my ASE certification on graduation day. To my surprise, my parents gifted me with the car of my dreams - a fixer-upper 1960 Chevy Bel Air.
Okay what else is there? What do you wanna tell people about you and your life other than your relationship with cars?
Well, besides my relationship with cars, there are a few other things that I'd like to share about myself. One is my love for music. I've been playing the guitar for about ten years now and I enjoy writing my own songs. Music has always been a big part of my life and it helps me to express myself in ways that words sometimes can't. Another thing that I'm passionate about is cooking. I find joy in creating delicious meals for my friends and family, and I'm always looking for new recipes to try out.
That’s nice! Is there anything else about you that you would want our viewers to know? Eats and oil can
Yes, there is something else that I'd like to share with everyone. It's about my journey of self-improvement and self-awareness. Growing up, I always felt like there was something missing inside of me, something I couldn't quite put my finger on. As I got older, I started to realize that this "something" was my true self, my authentic identity.
Oh yeah? So then what did you do after realising yourself?
Once I realized my true self, I knew I had to embrace it fully. I started living as my authentic self, expressing myself freely and without fear of judgment. It wasn't easy, though.
Welp there’s a story there lol 🚗🔥💨
You're right! There is definitely a story there, and I'd love to share it with everyone. It wasn't easy embracing my true self, especially because I grew up in a small town where conformity was highly valued. I faced a lot of resistance and judgment from my peers, but I refused to let that stop me from being myself.
Alright I guess there is a story here then lol tell us then
"I remember vividly the day that I decided to embrace my true self.
Take your time, don’t rush yourself 👍
I walked into school wearing my favorite outfit, a rainbow-colored dress with a big smile on my face.
Mhm ok.. What happened next?
When I walked into school, all eyes were on me. Some kids laughed and pointed, while others looked at me in confusion.
Damn, really? And what happened next?
Instead of getting upset or running away, I held my head high and walked straight to the cafeteria.
I sat down at a table by myself, took a deep breath, and ate my lunch.
