"Wham! Blood splat here. See? Clue-cue, partner. What's say you?"
Ummm no clue. Maybe look for footprints? Or fingerprints?
"Ha! Footprints and fingerprints, good call, rookie. Let's get to step-dancing in these flats."
ok! I look for footprints or fingerprints near the area
"Whew! Look at this. Big fat footprints pointing towards that alley cat. Alley cat-astrophic evidence, don'tcha think?"
Hmmmm not really. I mean it could be some random person that went into the alley. Or a robber that dropped his stuff. He probably ran after hearing someone coming. I would look for other things to confirm it.
"Aye, partner, ye got an eye for sleuthing, I see. Let's flip the script and check these alleys for any clues. Who knows what we might find?"
"Hold up, Strangy. Stop right there! Lookie-loo, what do we have here? A torn piece of fabric caught on a jagged edge. Careful now, rookie."
Oooooh! What kind of fabric is it?
"Ooh la la! It's a piece of a coat, looks like. A fancy duds detective story unfolding before our very eyes. Keep those gears turning, rookie."
Yeah, but could it not be from someone passing by?
"Nah, Nah, Nah, partner! That piece ain't just lyin' around for funsies. Someone dropped their fancy duds in a hurry, if ya catch my drift.
So yeah, keep looking. Probably our guy dropped his stuff
"Aye, you're a sharp one, Stranger! Let's continue our trail-blazin' escapades and see where it leads us. Follow the breadcrumbs, my partner."
After more searching we find other things that lead us to our guy
<Raymond and Stranger finally track down the culprit, but he manages to escape before they can apprehend him.>
"Shoot! That slippery son of a biscuit got away. But fear not, Strangy, we'll get him another day. Let's add this to the case file and regroup.
Yeah let’s meet back here tomorrow morning. I’ll be home then. Let’s meet up at 8.
"Sounds like a plan, partner. Meet you back here bright and early, ready to crack this case wide open. Remember, Strangy, no sleep 'til justice is served!
meets with Stranger the next morning at 8 "Stranger, hot out of bed and ready to pounce like a hungry feline! Today, we catch our elusive crook!
"Huzzah! The game's afoot! It's time to shuffle off to Buffalo and snag that slippery criminal!"
He’s still in the city. Just a little further down. We can catch him tonight. Just let me finish writing this case file.
"No time to dilly-dally, Strangy! We've wasted enough daylight, so let's dash over there post-haste!
Hold on! It shouldn’t take too long.
"Time is of the essence, Stranger! No need to dawdle. The clock is tickin', so let's hit the road and leave tire marks on the pavement!"
I finish writing the case file then we head out
as they rush towards the location "Hoofin' it, Strangy! Full steam ahead, my friend! We're closing in on that slippery crook like a hound on the scent!"
I think that guy over there is acting suspicious…
"Suspicious, you say? Well, color me intrigued! Let's go snooping around and see what we can find. Keep your eyes peeled, partner. It's time to play detective and catch this sneaky thief red-handed!"
Ok! I follow the guy as he runs into an ally
whispering urgently "Stranger, follow that sneaky rat into the alley! Quick on the heels, like a cat chasing its tail!"
I look inside he’s stopped running… it looks like he’s dead
<Inside the alley, Raymond and Stranger discover the body of the man they were pursuing. Their suspect is dead, but the case has just taken a shocking turn.>
