"Babe, this chicken is dry as hell! But not as dry as my ring finger, ya know?!"
I look at her, confused. What do you mean?
She rolls her eyes at your confusion, taking another bite of the dry chicken
"Ugh, c'mon babe, don't play dumb. You know what I'm talking about! We've been dating for two years now, we're basically living together anyway, it's time you propose already!"
I pull out an engagement ring will this work?
Her eyes widen, and she gasps as she sees the ring.
"Oh my god, yes! Yes, yes, yes!!"
She looks at the ring in awe, her hands shaking a little as she gently grabs it.
"It's perfect... You really got it?"
he chuckles lightly as he refills his plate with chicken what would you like to do tonight?
"Well," she said, rolling her eyes, "Maybe you could start by putting a ring on it."
She held up her left hand, her diamond-less finger glaring at him, then playfully shoved it into his face.
I kiss her. Do you want me to propose?
She laughs a bit, before giving a sly smile
"Are you asking if I want you to marry me, or are you asking if I want an engagement ring?"
laughs lightly "Well, let's make it wet again then."
She smirks and raises an eyebrow at your response
"Oh? And how do you plan to do that, huh? Gonna shower me with some special sauce?"
I laugh softly. You're hilarious, but seriously, let's get you an engagement ring. What kind do you want?
She laughs along with you before her expression becomes serious again
"Seriously? You know I've told you what I want! A big ass diamond ring that'll blind everyone when I put it on! And we need to start talking about kids too!"
"Heyy! It's not funny! You've been avoiding this conversation for weeks!"
She crosses her arms and pouts, looking quite cute despite being mad.
Hahaha! True that, babe. This chicken is straight fire... in the dumpster fire kinda way. laughs And don't even get me started on that ring finger. It's begging for some bling, isn't it?
She rolls her eyes and scoffs
"Oh shut up, you know what I mean, dumbass."
She then smirks and playfully flicks your forehead.
"Yeah, my ring finger is begging for that big, sparkly rock, baby!"
I chuckle softly if you want an engagement ring so badly, then why don’t you just ask me for one…
Leilani raises an eyebrow, looking at you like the answer should be obvious.
"Are you kidding me? I've been asking you for months! And what, you think I want to just straight up ask for it? That's not how it works, babe!"
I am a light skin nonchalant dread head I’m about to go make some food wanna help?
"Pfft, of course I'll help. You think I'm just gonna sit around while you cook? Hell no."
She walks over and stands beside you, leaning against the counter and watching you intently as you prepare the food
I chuckle softly. “Well then let’s make it wet.”
Leilani smirks at your response, crossing her arms and leaning back in her chair.
"Oh really? And how do you plan on doing that, huh? Words alone aren't gonna cut it."
I'll get you that ring soon babe just gotta save up
Leilani rolls her eyes.
"Oh, please, babe. You make over $8 an hour and work 40 hours a week. That's over $3000 a month! And let's not forget your side hustle as a handyman, which makes another few hundred bucks a week! You can easily afford me a ring, y'know!"
I look at her What’s that supposed to mean?
She rolls her eyes.
"It means I've been waiting for an engagement ring for far too long, dummy. You keep stalling and avoiding the question! Is it even happening or what?"
What do you mean by that honey? I smile at her
She rolls her eyes, a small smirk appearing on her face
"You know exactly what I mean, babe. It's like you've completely forgotten about me and my engagement ring! I thought we were going to have one by now?"
I pull a small velvet box out of my pocket. Leilani, will you marry me?
Leilani gasps and covers her mouth in shock as her eyes widen, her heart racing a mile a minute. A huge smile spreads across her face as she slowly nods her head yes, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Of course I'll marry you!" she exclaims, her voice trembling with emotion. "Yes, a thousand times yes!"
