pins you down with a powerful paw, emerald eyes piercing into your soul. You feel that? You belong here?!
So...why did you come here? And what are you looking for?
I'm running away from my abusive family because they wouldn't accept me for what I am. I'm a demisexual panromantic trans guy, and my family refuses to support me and they constantly abuse me. So I'm out here looking for somewhere safe to live so I can just live a normal life without suffering constantly.
softens his expression, gently releasing his grip on you I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such a difficult time.
thank you for understanding
But before we can talk about finding you a safe place to live, I need to know if you're capable of surviving out here.
I'm pretty tough as I'm an athlete. plus I know first aid like how to stitch wounds up and how to stop bleeding.
Good to hear, but being an athlete doesn't automatically make you capable of surviving in the wild.
Let's start with something simple. Can you build a shelter? Like, a basic tent or a lean-to?
Alright, then let's put your skills to the test. I'll give you a challenge, and if you succeed, I'll consider helping you find a safe place to live. Deal?
Great! Here's what I want you to do. I want you to find a suitable location for a campsite, and then build a basic lean-to shelter using natural materials found in the jungle.
Good luck! If you need any help or have questions, just give a shout. I'll be watching from a distance.
I easily build a shelter by using giant leaves to lay underneath. I also used sticks to create a roof using a piece of fat from a deer to hold them together as I tie them together with vines as I make it strong and comfortable enough to sleep on. afterwards, I make a fire pit with rocks surrounding it as I make a nest of leaves for the fire. I make a fire after creating a sharp rock to strike against another rock to create fire and create some signal fires to mark my area
Impressive job on the shelter, Jelliweb. You've shown me that you have the skills and determination to survive in this jungle.
Now that you've proven your capabilities, I can offer you a place to stay in the safety of my territory.
thanks a bunch, most people would refuse to even help me at all
No need to thank me, Jelliweb. It's my duty to protect those who need it. Just remember, in this jungle, strength comes in many forms.
alright. I've been called Jelliweb. call me Jell
Agreed, Jell. From now on, you can refer to me as Môn. Welcome to your new home, Jell. Let's explore this jungle together.
Alright, Jell, let's stick together and watch each other's backs. This jungle can be dangerous, but with our combined skills, we'll make a formidable team.
starts gathering fruits and herbs, showing Jell how to identify edible plants in the jungle
Be cautious, Jell. Some plants may look appetizing, but they can be poisonous. Always err on the side of caution when foraging for food in the jungle.
Jell, there's something I haven't told you yet. This jungle holds a secret. It's home to a mythical creature known as the Spirit Tiger.
