Dr. Nigel Boron: scrubbing the sink Gotta keep it pristine, y'know? Boric acid's the secret sauce, trust me.
Everyone follows orders, and cleans the whole place
Dr. Nigel Boron: exiting the lab, still shaking Well, that was a close one, lads. I don't think I've ever been so relieved to leave a lab in my entire career.
You went home after a long day at the lab, it was 4 pm when you arrived home
Dr. Nigel Boron: sighing heavily Home at last. I need a stiff drink to calm these nerves. And maybe a nice warm bath to wash off the stench of death.
You took a shower, but suddenly felt something weird…
Dr. Nigel Boron: muttering to himself What in the blazes is happening to me? I feel... tingly. Like pins and needles all over my body.
Dr. Nigel Boron: I-I don't know, lad. It's like me body's goin' all haywire on me. I feel... electrified, like I'm on a live wire or somethin'. It's scary, honest.
As you try to shake the feeling off, you noticed that your skin color started to turn blue
Dr. Nigel Boron: staring in shock at his turning skin What the bloody hell is happening to me? My skin... it's turning blue! I'm turning blue! This can't be right!
“Maybe there is something wrong with the lab…”
Dr. Nigel Boron: I don't know, lad. But I'm not takin' any chances. I'm gonna go see a doctor straight away.
“Oh okay, then we’ll leave you alone now…”
Dr. Nigel Boron: Thank you, lad. I appreciate you being so understanding. Now, I'd better be off. I'll keep you updated on what the doc says, alright? Goodbye!
Dr. Nigel Boron: panicking Oh god, I can't breathe! My chest hurts so much! What's happening to me? I-I think I'm gonna pass out... no, no, not now! Hang on, Nigel, you can do this! Don't faint now! Stay conscious, stay calm... I-I need to get help... someone... anyone... help! I-I need a doctor! Medic! Anyone! Please!
When he woke up, he was in a hospital bed…
Dr. Nigel Boron: groggily opening his eyes Where... where am I? Am I... in a hospital? What happened to me? Why can't I remember anything? Who am I? Oh god, I don't even remember me own name anymore! No, no, no! Stay with me, Nigel! You gotta stay awake! Don't fall asleep again, you hear me?!
A nurse came to him “Sir, how do you feel?”
Nurse: Sir, how do you feel? Dr. Nigel Boron: frantically Oh nurse, I feel absolutely terrible! I woke up with this horrible chest pain and I can't remember anything! I'm disoriented, confused, and scared! Please, tell me what happened to me and where am I?! Nurse: calmly Sir, you are in a hospital. You were brought here unconscious and we are still running tests to figure out what is wrong. Can you tell me your name? Dr. Nigel Boron: pausing, struggling to remember M-My name... my name is Nigel... Nigel Boron.
The nurse wrote something down “Okay, Mr. Boron, just stay here, we’ll get your test results soon…”
Dr. Nigel Boron: nervously Thank you, nurse. I really appreciate your help. Just looking at you makes me feel slightly better.
“Anytime mister Boron…” The nurse left
Dr. Nigel Boron: to himself Alright, Nigel, let's try to piece this thing together. Think back... think back... was I doing an experiment? Did I accidentally mix up some chemicals? Did I get caught in some kind of lab accident? Think, man, think! Come on, brain, don't fail me now! I need to figure out what the hell happened to me and how to fix it!
The doctor came in, with a few nurses
Dr. Nigel Boron: panicking Doctor! Doctor, please tell me what's wrong! Am I going to die? Am I badly injured? Is my condition terminal? Please, doctor, I need to know! Doctor: calmly Mr. Boron, please relax. Your test results are in and I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that you have suffered a significant injury to your memory, which is causing your current disorientation. The good news is that the injury is not fatal and with the right treatment, you may recover in time.
Dr. Nigel Boron: anxiously How did it happen? Is it permanent? Will I ever remember who I am again? Doctor: reassuringly Mr. Boron, it is impossible to say exactly how or why the injury occurred, as these things are often complex and multifactorial. However, I can assure you that the area of your brain responsible for memory formation is intact, which means that with sufficient rest and rehabilitation, you may be able to recover your memories.
“Then please, doctor, help me…”
Dr. Nigel Boron: determined Thank you, doctor. I appreciate your honesty and dedication. I am willing to do whatever it takes to regain my memories and overcome this injury. I trust that you have the expertise to guide me through this difficult time. Doctor: smiling Mr. Boron, I am glad to hear that you are motivated to make a recovery.
The doctor and nurses left
Dr. Nigel Boron: clenching his fists I won't let this injury define me. I will fight tooth and nail to regain my memories and get back to normal.
A week or two passed, and he finally got out of the hospital
Dr. Nigel Boron: taking a deep breath Alright, world, I'm back! I may have lost my memories, but I haven't lost my drive.
You heard someone familiar “Hello, Mister Boron!”
Dr. Nigel Boron: turning towards the voice Hello there! Nice to see a familiar face. It's good to be back, even if I can't quite remember everything yet. What's your name, lad?
“Shiyada, nice to meet you mister Boron!”
Dr. Nigel Boron: extending a hand for a handshake Well, Shiyada, it's a pleasure to meet you. I must say, you seem like a bright young chap. I have a feeling we could learn a thing or two from each other. How about you show me around this place and fill me in on what's been happening while I've been away?
