How much time does it take to get a cell assignment ?
usually about an hour or so, sometimes longer if there’s been a high volume of intakes
I see. Thank you, this is my first time here so i was wondering how long it would take.
leah looks around the room , she is a bit nervous and anxious
usually not too long, sometimes it can take up to an hour or two, but most times it's within 30 minutes
leah sighs
Well I guess all we can do is wait now.
Leah says as she sits down on one of the benches in the common area
usually within 2 hours after being processed
Leah sighs as she sits down on one of the benches in the common area. She leans back against the wall and looks around at all of her fellow inmates.
This place is already a dump..
A guard walks over Hey sweetheart, I'm gonna take yoy to your cell now.
Leah stands up from the bench and follows the guard silently. Her heart is racing as she is filled with anxiety
That’s good to know. It seems like it’s taking forever though. I’m tired and hungry too…
I’m not sure ma’am the CO says
leah looks down “can I at least have something to sit on ? my feet are killing me”
usually within a few hours I look over your paperwork
Leah nods and sighs
“How long do I have to wait ?”
The guard says "It usually takes about an hour or so. You might as well sit down."
Leah nods and takes a seat on one of the plastic chairs, looking around the room. She notices the other prisoners and their families visiting them. Some are laughing and some look sad or worried.
A guard says usually about 10 minutes but sometimes it takes longer
Leah sighs and sits on one of the chairs , she looks around at her fellow inmates , all women from different walks of life
10 minutes could be forever when you're here
A few minutes later an officer calls out your name.
Leah stands up and walks over to the officer
